Good club but after last sundays events, me not getting searched at entry last Saturday too, Security needs turned over. 1 of the bouncers definitely needs to work on his social skills too.

Always got different events on, good choice of music as there’s three different rooms, only downside is that drinks are a bit pricey, would recommend going here for a night out

This is one of my absolute favorite places on the face of the Earth. I have countless photos and memories of great times here. I studied abroad to Glasgow back in 2018 and I made my way to the Garage one night during one of my first weeks there. You can believe it was not the only time I made it there. I went back for the face paint, the bouncy castle, the glow stick parties, the foam party, new people, the drinks, etc. The entire atmosphere is all around incredible and always a great time! I loved it so much I trekked through the huge snowstorm that came that year with my friends because we could

This place is awful. The door man is a racist and will put hands on you for absolutely nothing. After contacting police and the management they did not help at all and refused to give the name of the man that assaulted my friends. Save your money and go to a place that respects their customers and treats people with respect.

Mediocre. Usual British club experience.

Firstly, I'm shocked to learn the Garage has a Tripadvisor profile, lol. Secondly, as the title suggests, it's your usual British young adult experience. Kids on Acid, coke, drunk etc, smelling like cigarettes and dancing. Staff are definitely on the rude side. That's not just my American perspective either, my ex who was from Dumfries also got the same impression. It's something everyone should experience once though.

The Garage is a rite of passage for any Glaswegian; if you're a gig going punter, you must have been to a gig here. If you're a student, you've probably been to a club night here, and if you're lucky enough to be in a band, then this is one of those milestone step that you take on the ladder of success.

It's also one of the best wrestling venues in the UK, but that's a whole other story.

From the Big Yellow Truck over the door, to the stairs up to the main floor that are adorned with the names of almost everyone that's ever played here, you can feel the vibe

Only my third time here (the first two were to see comedians) and this time it was for a gig - Eagles of Death Metal if you must know (with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age on drums!).

What can I say, I've heard all the horror stories about the weekend nights here (and thankfully never experienced them) so I wasn't surprised that the interior was a bit run-down, slightly sticky carpets and all!

But hey, I was here for a rock gig! It's a good sized venue with a good sound, I was on my own so ended up moving around a bit to try to get different views and each location was as

This is a review of the Garage as a gig venue: I haven't been to a club night here in about 15 years, but I get the impression nothing would have changed. I hated it as a club then and I would probably hate it now.

As a gig venue it's pretty good. It has a balcony which is a bonus, you are guaranteed a decent view from most parts of the floor and the sound isn't bad, although it can be a bit muddy at times. There is a decent couple of bars, and a good separate area for the merchandise.

It's biggest flaw is the timings. As its open as a club every night all of the gigs tend

You're probably not going to enjoy yourself here unless you're already absolutely out of it by the time you arrive. Dirty wet floors, crazy club-goers and sweaty, noisy and busy, this place just is not for me at all.

I've been here before for gigs and for nights out and I'm just not a fan for either. I was here the other night for my friend's 21st, and after paying the fiver entry, we went upstairs to the main room. In total I think there's 3 rooms, possibly 4. The main room is where gigs are played here normally, and the busiest room. There's then a room on

I'm reviewing the Garage for a gig venue, not a club night - as I have never been here on a club night, and I highly doubt I ever will!

For a venue it works really well, and I have seen some incredible gigs here over the years. I'm pretty short, and in most venues, I will be lucky to see the stage (and if I am fortunate enough to be in a venue which is well designed enough for me to see the stage, some tall guy and/or the most annoying person in the room normally stands in front of me anyway so hey! can't win!), but no matter where i stand, or who is in front of me at the garage

When I was a wee lass, I used to gaze in wonder at the very yellow truck poking out of this building on Sauchiehall St and ponder how the hell they managed to fit a car garage into this confined space! "How the hell would you get cars through that door?" I asked myself.

I swiftly found out the truth when I was 18. A den of grindy dancing and cheap booze awaited. The student hovvel of the city, The Garage blasts out the 90s dance music (if you're lucky), but mainly sticks to David Guetta's Ibiza anthems, even in the middle of winter.

18 year olds wiggle their bodies to the

The Garage is, on a night for night, averaged out over the calendar year basis.. the busiest club in Glasgow.

The truck jutting out the front of the building loses its kitsch value really quickly and soon becomes a landmark for finding your mates at the end of the night, or directing people to other pubs and clubs.

"It's across the road from The Garage".

When you're not across the road, The Garage has the capacity to be the backdrop to a great night. It's pretty big inside, but being that it is always busy it can still take a minute to cover a few metres. Once you do

The Garage is the Neverland of nightclubs.

Primarily frequented by the 17-21 crowd, I personally haven't been since not long after I turned 18. I have been constantly assured that it hasn't changed a bit, though! Part of the reason for this is that it fell out of style as the ABC became the place to go on a Saturday night, and at the time, the Garage wasn't changing its music or upping its game enough to keep us from drifting off elsewhere.

As far as live music here goes, they do tend to have some good bands on. I remember going here to see bands like Lost Prophets, Thursday, Coheed

It shows how little I have matured that the Garage is still usually my club of choice in Glasgow. I guess it just tells you how I am still unable to accept the fact that I have finished university (sniff!) and go here to try to relive the glory days.

The Garage is a very studenty place and it IS most popular with those in the 18-21 age group. But I think some of the things people say about it is pretty exaggerated - "oh, the girls are all about 17 years old" and "I felt like the oldest person in there". There is still a good bit of the 20-30 age group in there and if this
