This gives instant feedback to the patient and practitioner, as well as a measure as to the effectiveness of every treatment. I am continually inspired by the width and depth of ancient Chinese Medicine and take great joy in meeting new people, sharing this knowledge and helping people on their journey to health.

I am a fully qualified acupuncturist - I studied at the Northern College of Acupuncture (NCA) where I underwent 3 years of extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Anatomy and Physiology and Western Medicine and gained an honours degree in Chinese Medicine. The past two years I have further developed my training in Kiiko Matsumotos's Japanese Style of Acupuncture.
Below is a list of conditions seen in acupuncture clinics. We see a lot of patients who are looking for pain relief from acute or chronic conditions, including sports injuries, arthritis, migraines, digestive complaints and seasonal conditions like hay fever and weakened immune systems in winter. If you would like to discuss your symptoms before booking an appointment, please give us a call for a free 15 minute phone consultation.
Acupuncture is a system of treating people through effecting the state of balance within the body. This 3,000 year old empirical system can be used to remarkable effect to treat musculo-skeletal, emotional and internal problems. The body is in a constant state of homeostasis and when this state is disrupted, disease occurs both mentally, physically and emotionally.
Your first visit you will consist of a detailed consultation and a front and back treatment. In order to get a complete picture of your health, we take a comprehensive medical history including details on your present complaints, any previous illness or injuries and your family medical history. Our main tool for diagnosis is palpation of the abdomen, neck and back.
Acupuncture has virtually no unpleasant side effects. Most people feel very relaxed following treatment. If the treatment has been particularly strong you may feel tired or drowsy for a short period, but this will not last. Any side effects that do occur are mild, self-correcting and part of the re-balancing process.
