My sister booked in here to stay over for a wedding held close by. Rooms smell musky and no breakfast included in the price. She said she will not be coming here again in a hurry. Complaint logged on booking.com also. Not the nice experience staying in Southwell you would expect.

Only stayed at the B&B for a few hours after a golf day at nearby Norwood Park. Pub itself very quiet for 10pm-ish on a Saturday night, which was surprising. Owner / landlord very welcoming though and rooms were of a decent standard, clean and well kitted out. Apparently the pub does regular - and popular - curry nights and as such there was quite an aroma of curry in the room. Not too much of a problem, as I am a curry fan, but may be off-putting for other guests.

So cold I had to go and buy an electric heater from a hardware store to heat the room...
Update...
We did not remove the valves from any radiators and we couldn't notify anyone because we picked up our keys and then went out for food and drinks. When we got back the pub was closed. No staff available over night and was so cold we could see our breath. That is why I went and bought a heater.
If you want good feedback make sure your rooms are warm... It's only the basics...

Very cozy rooms, nice location and friendly staff. Stayed here 3 nights whilst doing a training course at Nottingham Trent University, Brackenhurst campus. Easy walkable access from this place. They don't do any meal but all eating places within 100 yards. Enjoyed my staying. Would reccomend.
