Was walking by on a Sat afternoon with my partner and happened upon Cafe Coho Hove. Encouraged to go in by the barista smiling at us through the window. We went for the brunch deal and loved it. I had the French toast which was sooooooo good - best ever in fact. My girlfriend had the sweet potatoe hash (think that is what it was called). Again it was really good - I sampled some and the chorizo in it was sublime. The deal includes a glass of prosecco, an item from the brunch menu and a coffee. All for £14.50 - thought it was excellent value and going back this weekend for the same! They also do

Its says its open till 1130pm but this is not the case. We booked for 545pm only to arrive to the cafe closing and being told that it shuts early. The concept has changed and no longer does dinner. They even checked the booking and it was there but no one had contacted us to say that it closes early then offered us take away coffees but we declined as we were going to dinner. Obviously we are confused to why we were able to book when it is no longer open

Lots of interesting dishes which will please and satisfy many. But if you want a more traditional Full English with all the usual trimmings, fried slice, black pudding etc this isn't the place. I was a bit disappointed with a 'half' English breakfast for £12, what was there was tasty, but it wasn't what I had hoped for

You can definitely catch a chilled vibe here at Cafe Coho. A good amount of seating with a friendly atmosphere. Loved the gluten free & vegan carrot cake. Service was kind and quick. More tea options would have been nice and charging 50p for alternative milks feels like punishment for having an allergy/caring about the planet/animals. These are minors but it makes the difference. Looking forward to coming again!

Didn't check the reviews before sitting down, glad I didn't as I might not have gone in. Looking back at them, maybe this place shouldn't call itself a "Cafe" as people seem to be assuming this means strictly a coffee-house (we went for early dinner).
What it is, is an awesome steak restaurant - had the flank and it was spot on, and so were the sweet potato fries. I sided it with the cajun shrimp, which was on par with the same dish @ Big Easy in Chelsea (from back in the days when it was still an awesome restaurant).
Aperol Spritz actually had enough Aperol in it which Brighton bars seems to

There's good stuff going on in the kitchen here. Interesting dishes, cooked very competently. We had tempura enoki mushrooms, cod cheeks, and delicious bavette. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive in all the right ways. I'm baffled as to why this place only has a 3.3 star rating, seemingly mostly because some people don't like to wash their hands in a shared sink. If you're looking for a decent place to have dinner in Hove, look no further and give Cafe Coho a try.

When I first moved down to Brighton 8 months ago I remember walking past this little kiosk and it being an Eat. Don't really remember when it made the changeover but it is now a cafe coho. Have been in a few times on the way to dance class and did once again yesterday evening.
The coffee is lovely, I ordered a latte with a double shot. Sometimes at other coffee places getting double shot can make a latte bitter which is a shame because I enjoy the intensity of a double shot in my coffee. Here at cafe coho the coffee is lovely and smooth and no hint of bitterness. I thoroughly enjoy it and

Until I looked at their website today, I had no idea that the EAT chain started as a small, family run coffee shop in London. Now, thirteen years later they have 100 shops in and outside London. Due to its location as a kiosk just outside Churchill Square, you could be forgiven for bypassing this place in the middle of winter in favour of a nice, warm and cosy coffee shop I know I would.
In the summer however, this place is fantastic for sitting outside and being right amidst the hubbub of central Brighton. Consequently due to my frequenting here mainly during the summer months I haven&apos

Eat is one of those businesses that I didn't realise was a chain until I came to Brighton. Up north (or in the Midlands where I ACTUALLY come from), there are certain chains like Eat that haven't caught on (see also Pret a Manger and Waitrose).
I believe it only to be a compliment to a store/eatery when it is not immediately obvious that it's part of a chain. Eat accomplishes this from the outside.
If you're not sure of where it is, it's one of those permanent stands situated in the plaza at Churchill Square. Despite this almost-temporary look, Eat manages to feel like

Why isn't there a fully blown Eat shop in Brighton! I love Eat- I think their food and coffee may even be better than Pret, definitely along the same lines- and yet there is only an Eat stand in Churchill Square outside the shopping centre! I can still go by and buy my delicious veggie wraps or treat myself to a decadent breakfast of creamy yogurt and sweet cinnamony crunchy cereal bits with an amazing soya cappuccino- no charge for soya, I love it!!- but I have to then wander around or sit on a little metal table in the throngs of teenagers and harassed shoppers. And what about when it is

As chain coffe shops go Eat is definitely my favourite.
The branch in Brighton is a relatively new addition. It's only small with limited seating. Probably best to go there if you just want to take something away or just to sit down quickly.
The food is fresh, healthy and tasty. Food range is pretty standard - sanwiches, wraps and salads, however, they also do a great range of hot options - eg : soups and pies. Prices are a little bit more than their competitors - but it's fair to say that the quality of their food is much higher.
Their coffee is quite strong and you only get
