Gardner Champion Solicitors
Gardner Champion was an amalgamation of two firms, Gardner Railton and Co which had roots back to the 1900's and Champions which was formed in the 1970's. The two partners are Peter and Julie Ashley a husband and wife team who have both been qualified for over 20 years. The firm deals mainly with residential conveyancing, divorce and separation and family matters and wills and probate.

We currently have a contract with the Legal Services Commission to provide publicly funded work in family matters only. One of the main advantages of instructing us to act for you is that because we are a small firm you are able to develop a one to one relationship with the person dealing with your matter.
Services
For most people, the buying of a new home, or the selling your existing home can be one of the most stressful times of your life. Apparently only divorce comes higher. Our residential property team, headed by Julie Ashley, understands this. They also understand the importance of communicating with everyone involved in the process, the importance of acting quickly so there are no delays and most importantly, in providing a value for money service.
The breakdown of a relationship can be one of the most traumatic periods of anyone's life. Naturally, you will be concerned about your current financial and property arrangements and how it will affect any children you may have. Our Family Team, headed by Peter Ashley, advises and represents clients in all types of family matters including divorce, co-habitee disputes, children and financial disputes.
This is a new way of dealing with family disputes in a dignified manner. In the collaborative process the family lawyers and their clients agree in writing to reach a settlement without court involvement. They agree to work together to resolve the issues concerning finance and children and any other issues which arise in a divorce or separation.
You may have been helping a relative or friend with their financial affairs. You may have been able to do this successfully but then the person becomes ill or goes into hospital or a home and you can no longer do this. You can then get a situation where bills for your relative or friend mount up and nothing is dealt with.
Lasting Powers of Attorney have replaced E.P.A. and we are able to advise you concerning these. Long Term Care Planning: It's hard to imagine not being able to live in your own home, and look after yourself. Planning at the right time to make sure any care you may need in the future is covered without having to sell your home is important for some people.
