Bill as he became called, was a qualified professional photographer and a very early member of the BIPP (British institute of professional photography). Then following on from William was both his sons David and Derek. Who between them specialised in wedding, portrait and commercial photography.
Both David and Derek achieved high accolades with in the area and also the BIPP and MPA (Masters Photographers Association) following the high standards set by William.After David retirement in late 2000 Derek invited his son Andrew to join him, in running the business. Andrew has been involved in photography from a very early age and can always remember having a camera in his hand.

We're all too happy to meet couples to go through all your ideas and questions that you may have. Its best to make an appointment to come and see us. We take an unlimited amount of images per wedding but we make a cut of the very best ones, then let you choose which one to be fully edited images. Not for the Darlington area but Yes for fuel where the travel is more than one hour from the studio.

I had a family photoshoot done at Risbeys booking was really easy and even though I had to change it twice it was never an issue which was great.
The photoshoot went really well and we got a good range of different photos.
Lots of different options depending on your budget and I was really happy with the finished product.
Highly recommend for fantastic quality and value and generally just having your photos taken by such a good down to earth guy.

I didnt really know what to expect when booking. They could not have been any more helpful. Very chatty and made me and My friend feel comfortable from the onset. The shoot was brillaint and I cant fault the hair or make up. I needed this as a gift and with a very fast turn around. The photos had been viewed, edited and ready to collect within a week. They are just perfect. The gift set I choose was beautiful. Thank you! I will definitely be recommending

Andrew took fabulous, enchanting photos of me and my daughter which we will treasure forever. Nat & Andrew were both very personable, professional and made me feel really comfortable. Boudoir photoshoot. Andrew was very professional, open and honest before, during and after the shoot. I was nervous and self conscious during the shoot but was made to feel comfortable throughout and some gorgeous and respectful shots have been taken as a result! Would definitely recommend this brilliant photographer!!

Perhaps have a good look around and find a friendly photographer who has a pleasant and patient manor throughout and who does not apply pressure..
Mr.Risbey really isn't the most pleasant of people and his business skills leave a lot to be desired..
Their make up artist really isn't too good either..

Just viewed and ordered photos of my daughter on the mother and daughter fairy shoot. Everyone at Risbeys was fantastic. From prebooking online (Andrew replied to several emails with questions I had prior to me booking) to the actual shoot to viewing the photos everything was amazing. Yes the photos are a bit more than you would pay in say Mothercare but they are truly amazing and well worth the money for those special moments, photos are chances for us to capture amazing moments for life.
