Founded in 1907, Selby Golf Club is a beautiful par 71 course, built on sand-based, well drained land, making the course playable all year round.

Winter golf is particularly popular. The Club warmly welcomes new members and visitors of all ages alike to become a part of the Club's vibrant history and community. The Club offers a full complement of superb facilities and boasts a fully equipped practice area, with a large putting green and a large driving range which includes six covered bays.

Becoming a Member Report

Selby Golf Club offers a number of membership categories which are available to all age groups. Members can enjoy our wonderful playing facility and benefit from all our facilities including special member discounts on bar prices. We offer super restaurant facilities where you can enjoy a wide variety of choice from a tasty bar snack to a 3-course meal.

Social Membership Report

If you don't have time to play golf regularly but would like to enjoy the advantages of using the driving range, practice facilities and the Club House. We have many Social Members who enjoy visiting the Club with friends and family, taking advantage of the friendly atmosphere, and excellent bar and catering facilities.

Gents and Ladies Locker Rooms Report

Lockers are available for members convenience to store their golfing and personal equipment. Recently been refurbished providing well-equipped modern changing facilities. Towels are provided for you to enjoy a warm relaxing shower after your game. Spacious changing and shower facilities are available.

Course Details Report

The delightful sand based 18 hole par 71 course lies on very sandy soil which makes it playable all year round. The design of the course is such that the 9th, 14th and 18th greens all bring players back to the Clubhouse, making it an ideal option for full or part rounds so you can flexibly fit your golf to the time you have available.

Well maintained, quite a reasonably challenging course with plenty of tree lined fairways & wispy rough. Cask ales, friendly staff and good catering. Certainly would want to play the course again.

Here for a County Match v Yorkshire from Cheshire.The course is as good as condition as we have seen of any the courses we have played.Lovely course layout and facilities.The ground staff were out working hard on the course until 5pm Sunday night getting it ready for the match on Monday. 👍👏👌

A course I have played on many occasions, especially in the winter months. My home course, the Lincolnshire doesn't drain well.
Selby on the other hand, is built on a sand base and drains amazingly well.
Not cheap, but worth the green fee.

As a new member, my comments are, fairways are what I have always wanted about 1.5 cm high, correct height, the greens straight & pure, with no breaks as yet in April (lot of contors though)
Tees are in good condition
Best move I ever made in 38 years of golfing

Just had my rabbits captain away day at Selby golf course could not fault it in any way, course was in really good order, club pro really helpful ,as were the office staff ,caterers, and the bar staff, highly recommend it for a good day out.

Played last Friday after several days of heavy rain. the course was in superb condition for this time of year. we always play our last round of year hear and it didn't disappoint us greens were true. food was lovely. would like to play the course in the summer next year.
