EXL driving school provide driving lessons in the latest a wide range of modern tuition vehicles including the BMW Mini, Vauxhall Corsa or Ford Fiesta & Citroen C3, fun cars that are really easy to drive and learn in. Driving lessons are arranged to suit each individual. EXL driving school recommend that the first driving lesson is a two hour session, giving enough time to understand the controls of the car and plenty of time to actually drive.
EXL Driving School offer driving lessons in the Bishops Stortford area with both male and female driving instructors, in both automatic and manual cars, who are familiar not only with the test centre at Bishops Stortford but also the Bishops Stortford driving test routes and the wider general areas.
All of our instructors are registered with the Driving Standards Agency, qualified to teach learners and display their vaild licence at all times when teaching. All instructors also hold a current enhanced CRB Certificate. Based in Colchester, Chelmsford, Ipswich, Bishops Stortford, Harlow, Braintree and surrounding areas we have an instructor who can help you.
EXL's driving instructor training course is aimed at training you to start a new and rewarding career with earning potential between 20,000 and 40,000 per year depending upon the hours you want to work. Anyone who undertakes driving instructor training with EXL is guaranteed the opportunity to join EXL however it is not compulsory to join us, you are free to work for another school or on your own once you are fully qualified.
Driving instructors come from all sorts of backgrounds - so there's every reason why driving instruction could be the career for you. You simply need enthusiasm, the ability to get on with people and the desire to inspire others towards success. Most instructors agree that their previous jobs never gave them such a tremendous sense of job satisfaction.

David Featherstone is one of the nicest kind person.I really enjoyed my lessons with him. He Is an amazing instructor, helped me alot with my theory test and passed straight away.Lessons were amazing he is great at teaching , really patient person and gave me lessons which ever days I needed. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to taking lessons with him don't think twice you won't regret it.I promise

Waste of £100. Avoid. I paid for a £100 package and the initial double hour lesson went ok. The driver then cancelled and rearranged 3/4 times with the next lesson not for 3 weeks, whereby all knowledge and confidence had been lost. I requested a different instructor and to call myself to arrange it. Several days later my daughter received a text stating she had a lesson the next day with a different instructor and I explained she was in Germany. Thereafter all my calls were ignored or went to voicemail and no more lessons took place. I wrote twice requesting a refund for the outstanding £40

David Featherstone is the most patient and understanding instructor I ever had. I cannot praise him enough, David is a fantastic and professional instructor. He always made me feel comfortable, he was always calm and encouraging. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn on an automatic vehicle and become a confident driver.

Marie Hester is the best instructor I could have asked for! I wanted to go with Marie after reading all of her amazing reviews and they was not wrong. Passed first time with Marie and I am over the moon! Marie had to get me test ready in a rather short time. Every lesson was fabulous, she has the greatest personality to put you at ease and feel comfortable from day 1, great instructor wants to pass you first time as much as you do. Will truly miss our lessons but am so happy she has helped me get first time pass. Anyone looking for an all round fab driving instructor should look no further than

I really couldn't recommend Karl Green enough as he has had the confidence in my driving ability since day one. He has helped me pass my theory and driving test first time round even though I was so nervous. Karl has given me so much support and confidence whilst driving as he can spot your strengths and weaknesses to help you develop your driving ability. Karl is very professional, friendly and supportive which helped me to relax while driving. 100% recommend.

This was my second attempt at choosing a driving instructor, after my first instructor not being good, and I felt like I wasted 10 hours of driving around the block. Therefore I was very cautious when looking for my next instructor. I came across David after thorough investigation from my end, and I must say I never regretted my decision.
