Went the 1st weekend since lockdown. Just returned to caravanning after a 20 year break.
Great weekend, great pitch overlooking lake, owner (Sandra), very welcoming, staff friendly. Grandkids visited for afternoon and fished for first time, and WOW caught 3 carp, one an easy double in great condition. COVID precautions on site. I will be back.

Amazing site. Very friendly owner who couldn't do any more to help if she tried. A site warden who goes above and beyond not only carrying out his daily duties but then joins in with all the kids playing football, Frisbee or whatever afternoon activity the kids are enjoying playing. I have stayed here for many years (winter and summer months) in a touring caravan and most recently a tent. My young son loves it and we are always made to feel welcome not only by the site staff but the regular seasonal caravan owners as well. The site is very well kept, ponds look amazing and the people fishing never

We’ve had just got back from a 2 night stay at lakeside in Denver and I must say it’s one of the best campsites we’ve stayed on. Such a beautiful scenery with 5 fishing lakes beautiful works for the dogs and a play park for the kids. Our two boys 11 & 9 were able to ride around on their bikes and had so much fun fishing, as did me and my husband. We will 100% be coming back. Even better it’s only 25 mins from us x

This is a fantastic place to come for a break. With a choice of 5 lakes to fish with good varieties of catch and a few 30lb carp to seek out. I absolutely love coming here as do my family. The owners are fantastic, very helpful and welcoming. The on site shop caters for most needs and you can purchase everything you need to go fish straight from the shop and all very reasonably priced and although the shop closes at 4, electric cards can be purchased from the warden after that so if you do get caught short...its no problem for the guys here. Credit to them.and the beautiful site.
It's lovely all

We have been coming to this site for a long time now. We have even stored our caravan here. It’s a lovely site and very peaceful. You do have to pay for the electric cards but whatever you don’t use you get your money back. Sandra (the owner) cannot do enough for you and is extremely accommodating. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site to family or friends.

Pleasant enough site. Level pitches and not too crowded. Small lakes on site popular with fishermen. Not expensive but have to pay extra for electricity and showers are £1 but only takes old coins, which we weren't informed about. Main gripe is that I never saw any evidence that the showers were cleaned out and there were bits of grass in the shower for 4 days. Shower drains not flowing properly so water pooled. I would expect any site to fully clean out the showers and toilets daily.

So we have returned after what can only be described as a stunning weekend at Lakeside Caravan site!
During our stay we picked a lakeside pitch with fishing, which was perfect for both the children and of course the hubby! They caught some good size fish and were very proud! Our pitch was spotless and superbly maintained making setting up and settling in seamless. The wardens were both very welcoming and professional. Running both the site and a well stocked shop.
The playpark was a firm favourite with the children, and it also very well maintained.
The showers and washing facilities are clean
