We span therapy areas across dermatology, wound care, topical joint pain, prostate cancer, paediatric pain and fever, respiratory health, and digestive health (constipation). Our skin is the largest organ in our body and makes up 15 per cent of our body's weight.

The top layer or epidermis - which itself comprises several different layers - acts as a barrier preventing irritants and allergens penetrating the body and contributes to the immune function. At Typharm we know how challenging the management of respiratory health conditions are.

At the same time, our skin prevents excessive loss of water and maintains a stable equilibrium inside the body.
Toothache, headaches (including cluster headaches and migraine), period pain (dysmenorrhoea), joint and muscle pain, sprains and strains, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, sciatica, slipped disc, ear ache, wounds, bruises and other injuries are common conditions giving rise to pain. Pain is described in different ways, including stabbing, aching, throbbing, stinging, sore.
Muscular injuries can occur as a result of a fall or other trauma and during physical activity such as lifting heavy items, gardening, housework, decorating, exercise or participating in sport. It is important to distinguish acute muscular pain of this nature from chronic pain associated with rheumatism, arthritis and postural problems.
Constipation is when you find it hard to go to the toilet (poo) or you go less frequently than usual. Generally, it is characterised by the uncomfortable passage of hard, dry stools less frequently than your usual pattern. Constipation can be difficult to define.

In essence, it is a change to your usual bowel health pattern that is important, although going to the toilet less than three times a week and having difficulty in passing stools is likely to be constipation.Rare cases of abdominal discomfort, bloating and feeling sick can accompany constipation. In some cases, constipation can become severe enough to block the bowel.
