Friendly service, excellent food, reasonable prices ...an ideal place to eat after a brisk walk on the seafront. An unbeatable position.

Extraordinary beach cafe that looks incredible from the outside. The food and service was just as good, as well as being beautifully cooked.

We had a delicious meal here and the staff were lovely and I would have given a higher rating but the table wasn't very clean and the floor beneath it was disgraceful. This made us wonder about the general hygiene standards. Also the 12.5% service charge is a bit steep.

Iv wanted to visit this place for so long and drove 220 miles to do so and was woefully disappointed with the food. The lack of information on the menu meant that I ordered undesirable food that I picked through rather than enjoy a satisfying meal.

Delicious food and a constantly changing view. Lovely to a special meal out or perhaps a hearty lunch to warm up after a while on the swim.

Have passed this place some years ago and was aware of its reputation so visited today. Was not disappointed! Delicious food (especially the fish, pea puree and tartare sauce sandwich), great service and lovely ambience. Will definitely return to try the rest of the menu.

Small and cute cafe. Served by a lovely girl. Super friendly and amazing fish and chips for £10 a portion... Small portion but the quality was very good. Sauces could have been a bit fresher, nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves there and the people were lovely. Diverse community. Lovely location with not too much people as with Brighton beach. The cafe had a lot of homemade things such a cakes etc

Great place for lunch by the sea. Very friendly service. Great to see local beers and ales for sale. Worth a visit.

Great food - the seafood linguine & beer battered fish & chips are excellent. The staff are very friendly & accomodating. Looks a bit 'low rent' from the beach side & the interior is very plain, but the rear of the building is an architectural wonder that has been used in a lot of art house type marketing & advertising - it's worth a visit just to look at.

Nice place to have a brunch. I had the breakfast bap, my partner had the eggs benedict, both were tasty, as was the coffee.
Allow potentially over an hour for a visit as service was slightly slow possibly due to COVID procedures. COVID procedures were reasonable, probably best to book in advance.

Strange looking building when approached from the North, but what a lovely surprise awaits you if you take the time to go around to the South. Long viewing panels that create a spacious feeling despite only have about 8' to move in. Nice place to sit in the 'Going down of the Sun'. Away from the madding crowd! Could be seen as pricey, but not too bad for the quality you're getting.
