Formed in 2005 by Andrew Edgar we had a vision to create a friendly, reliable tree surgery company specialising in Arboriculture, our obsession with trees grew along side our business and client base. Now operating throughout Carlisle and Cumbria our company is setting higher standard in quality and safety.
All staff are trained to a respectable, recognised standard in Arboriculture and all work is carried out to BS3998:2010 tree work recommendations. Our customers include local authorities, landscaping companies, councils and we have wide range of domestic clients throughout Carlisle and Cumbria also.

Orchard Tree Surgery is an established family run company based in Carlisle, Cumbria, offering tree and arboricultural services to both the domestic and commercial market. Covering all aspects of tree surgery we ensure we offer a professional, local and friendly service. We are fully insured, qualified and experienced to give our customers complete piece of mind.
Crown Thinning - Removing some of the secondary branches within the tree to lighten the crown, reduce its weight and keep the crown less dense. Crown Raising (Crown Lifting) - This is done to by removing the lower branches to allow access under the tree crown for footpaths and roads but also to allow light to pass under the crown.
The recent and extensive tree works carried out by Orchard Tree surgery was completed in a very professional manor and to an extremely high standard. Andrew was always willing to help, was courteous when approached by our residents and would happily give his professional opinion and advise when requested.

We asked Orchard Tree Surgery to sort out a troublesome tree that was obscuring the sun from our conservatory and covering it with leaves. Andrew, the owner was brilliant. He came promptly to quote me for the work and was most kind and courteous. After we agreed what was to be done he arrived to start the job, on time, on the day we had decided. His work was professional and efficient and he cleaned up well after himself. The whole experience was great, no fuss and comes highly recommended. Mrs Thompson, Carlisle.
