Services
Robert and his wife Josyane take on only a few projects at a time to ensure their small team can give them the attention they need. Established and incorporated within Robert Young Antiques in 1983, Rivire is a boutique Interior Design Consultancy working predominantly on residential projects.
The Rivire Portfolio includes both traditional and contemporary projects, varying in location, scale, brief, style and character, yet reflecting the Rivire signature style.Robert and Josyane are largely self-taught and informed by instinct, eye and experience. They are informed by historical precedent and formal training in the decorative arts and they are excited by the juxtaposition of traditional and contemporary materials and accents.

Age is not necessarily a defining factor in works we source. Whilst it's true that we specialise in antique, vernacular, naive and primitive pieces and frequently celebrate old surfaces, textures, patina and evidence of a historical narrative, we also recognise qualities in selected modern and contemporary works.
The pieces are as fresh and exciting as they were when we originally sourced them and several of them will be included in our forthcoming Winter Catalogue #60, alongside pieces from different collections and other recent acquisitions. Our 10th Contemporary Collaboration installation is now on view in our Battersea Gallery window, showcasing the work of the talented artist Cecilia Charlton.
Robert Young Antiques publish three distinctive fully illustrated Catalogues a year, both in printed hard copy form and in an e-catalogue format, which are distributed both nationally and internationally. Back copies of some archive Catalogues are still available to those wishing to complete sets, or for reference, and these are available at 10 each, inclusive of postage in the UK.
Created exclusively for the "Robert Young Studio" label, this is our unique fragrance. Originally made to Josyane's traditional Corsican family recipe, the essential essence has been recreated as a scented candle by specialist artisan candle makers in Britain, under our direction. Each stage of the production is analysed, tested and approved, to ensure that the blend and fragrance are perfect.

Bought a lovely rocking horse from here in 1984, when it filled the entire window in the shop... Dad spotted it, but wouldn't tell me where it was, so in those pre net days, I had to try my luck with ''Bush telegraph''.
A lady in Notting Hill told me about ''A big horse in Battersea Bridge Rd''...Bingo!
Robert kindly let me pay in instalments. Glad to see his shop having gone from strength to strength. We called the horse ''Battersea'' and he still lives with us!
