Services
Osteopaths utilise a wide variety of techniques to improve joint mobility, reduce tension in soft tissues, improve circulation and free trapped and irritated nerves to bring freedom from pain and discomfort. This is what most people expect from an Osteopath. It involves Manipulation (clicking joints), Mobilisation (rhythmic movements of joints) and stretching of the soft tissues (Massage and other techniques.)
We treat many patients in their 80's and 90's who benefit from gentle mobilisation and stretching of joints that are suffering from wear and tear (osteoarthritis), but all ages may benefit from treatment to any joint that is not functioning smoothly. A wide variety of techniques are employed to improve mobility including manipulation, mobilisation, and massage of local muscles.
In the 1970's Michael worked in the Health Food Trade. This inspired him to learn as much as possible in regard to maintaining health and well-being. During this process of seeking to know more he discovered the therapy called Kinesiology. He was inspired by the potential of this incredible process to help people on so many levels.
Having worked with young people, young adults and their families for many years Trudi decided to train as a counsellor spending 4 years doing so. Trudi is very caring and is hoping to further her skills this year by extending her knowledge at Master's level. Everybody's experiences are different and by drawing from a wide range of therapeutic models she tailors your theraphy to fit your needs.

I went for an initial consultation with Vitor today to find out how osteo could help my back problems and my new baby’s acid reflux. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful I can’t wait to have an appointment with him. He explained everything so well and the baby clinic sounds perfect. Lovely place that make no pressure to book if you just come for a free consult.

Rachael is magic! I work in a job which requires a lot of manual handling and often end up with aches and pains all over. A couple of sessions every now and again from Rachael and I feel amazing. Not only fantastic for my aches and pains but great for my mental health- always feel so relaxed after! Love that she focuses on the whole body rather… than just one spot and gives excellent advice to help keep my body together between treatments. Love the reception team too. Such a helpful and friendly team! These are some of the many reasons I travel from Taunton to visit Orchard Osteopaths :
