WideFM
WideFM provides a range of services, generally falling into 3 categories, Telecoms (including broadband), IT and Broadcast Radio. We own and operate the 'Tune-in' network, a high performance Fibre To The Mast (FTTM) radio network predominantly in East Dorset used for providing IP connectivity such as Superfast internet to business and residential users.

Studio Transmitter Links, solution provider using a mixture of Fixed Wireless Access and multiple inexpensive internet links to create a 'hitless' resilient service. Development of middle ware solutions for broadcast systems - for example to allow 2 different systems to communicate with each other, or to automate programme switching.
Services
Small Scale - Digital Audio Broadcasting (SS-DAB or SSDAB) or 'mini mux' as we like to call it, will soon become a reality in the UK, with Ofcom finalising the framework and advertising licenses in 2020. Well that's not strictly true, technically it IS DAB as you know it, but the licensing framework is very different.
We offer Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling, from 1 network point upwards. Our engineers are based in Poole, and professionally qualified to plan, install, test and certificate cabling systems for any sized project or business. Often overlooked, most of your 'last meter' - that is the part between your server and / or network switches and your desktop PC, phones etc - network connectivity is via a CAT 5/6 cabling system.
If you are participating in an event, perhaps as an exhibitor or maybe you are holding your own event, connectivity can be a key component. PDQ machines taking credit card payments, realtime stock updates, or providing a WiFi service for people attending - all require a reliable internet connection.
Planning an RSL? Need help with choosing a transmission site, or would like to hire studio and transmitter equipment? Based in Bournemouth and Poole, we stock audio equipment to hire from Studio desks, to the antenna your signal will radiate from, ideal for RSL's.

In the Dorset area we also have relationships with many local transmission sites, so called vertical assets, we can leverage these for your transmitter location, to ensure you get the best possible transmission coverage for your broadcast. We can also produce coverage plots, so you don't need to wait until the day you go on air to find out where your signal will reach.
We supply solutions to provide ISDN over IP. ISDN2 and ISDN30 are fully supported including many ancillary services like CLID and inband call progress. BT Openreach are the predominant supplier in the UK of ISDN lines and services in the UK.

Over the years there have been many withdrawal dates for ISDN the latest being 2022 'stop sell' no new lines unless there is a genuine business justification, and 2025 all ISDN lines will be turned off along with the telephone exchanges they are supplied from.
