Services
Ryan is the lead dentist at Priory Dental has the benefit of being qualified in both Dentistry and Medicine as well as having a masters degree in Dental Implantology. In addition he has a first class bachelors degree in science (cellular and molecular medicine) from The University of Bristol. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and can draw on considerable experience and knowledge in the care of his patients.
At Priory Dental the whole team are committed to providing you and your family with a personal, yet comprehensive approach to dental care. This includes the prevention of dental problems and a considered approach to dental solutions where they are necessary. This may mean pointing out problems before they become critical including gum disease and problems with existing dental work such as root fillings, crowns and bridges.
At Priory Dental we have built a team of dental professionals with a specific focus on providing advanced dental implant solutions to patients from across the area. Dr Ryan Hughes is qualified in both dentistry and medicine and leads the team. He has a masters degree with distinction in Dental Implantology and has previously worked both as a medical doctor and as a staff grade surgeon in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
At Priory Dental, a number of members of the team have interests in cosmetic dentistry. This includes the use of techniques such as tooth whitening, composite veneers, edge bonding, clear aligners, dental implants and more traditional techniques such as cosmetic veneers and crowns from material such as emax.
Crowns, Bridges and Dentures as well as Onlays are common treatments in restorative dentistry and are provided routinely at Priory Dental in Wells by all our dentists. Crowns are often used where teeth are already heavily restored with fillings or root canal fillings in order to improve the integrity of the final restoration and can be an aesthetic choice in certain circumstances.
