CCW was established in 1985 when Co-founders Bill and Liz Geddes took a leap of faith out of the world of wholesale and into new territory retailing outdoor lifestyle brands. 35 years later having experienced the ups and downs of running a family business, they have stood the test of time and successfully own and run 3 award winning stores in; Callander, Glasgow and St Andrews.
With strong values and a team friendly culture, not to mention an appetite to drive this business forward, siblings Ross and Emily stepped in to work alongside their parents and wider CCW team to support this evolving retail environment. The CCW staff are our most important asset. Using family in a slightly looser term, over the years many of our staff have become more than just colleagues.

Services
Rains has a simple name and a simple concept - to make a modern version of the classic raincoat. Based in Denmark, Rains bridges geographical and lifestyle gaps, making sure rain doesn't stop you from making the most of your day. By mixing traditional methods with innovative techniques they create functional, waterproof coats with classic Scandinavian style appeal.
Patagonia is known as the 'Feel Good Company' for good reason. They have broken the mould and moved away from traditional manufacturing methods due to their concerns with climate change. We stock a large variety of their products ranging from 85% recycled polyester fleece, fair trade organic tee's and their responsibly sourced down jackets.
Ten years in, Nobis-latin for us-redefines technical outwear with a sense of luxury. Innovative performance fabrics are combined with classic silhouettes to create functional and fashionable pieces. Traditional winters are a things of the past. Seasons can be difficult to identify with unpredictable conditions.
Fjallraven was founded just over 50 years ago in Ornskoldsvik, Sweden. This brand started due to a love for the great outdoors which can still be seen in all their products today. They brought us the phenomenon that is the 'Kanken'. A stylish rucksack designed for durability and comfort in any colour of the rainbow.
Didriksons have a simple philosophy; We don't challenge the elements, we adapt to them. A waterproof company that started making jackets for Swedish fisherman in 1913. With a fantastic Scandinavian look to them, they are built for extreme cold and wet weather. Their products have a timeless fit with a sporty and rugged exterior that will see you through the elemnents.

I visited today 28/09/21. After browsing I tried on a coat. I then tried on a different size. I tried on the first size again and then a different colour of the coat. The assistant was just lovely and patient. She could not do enough to help. This is what I experience any time I've visited. Well done! Thank you. 😁

Worst customer service in the west end. Asked for proof for no mask even though advised was exempt. The women had insisted it was company policy and insisted I showed her exemption. Wasn’t aware company policy overruled everything else. Wouldn’t be back again, didn’t even say hello on entry. Wouldn’t reccomend to anyone .

Big shout out to Rachael at the CCW shop on Byres Rd. Her customer service was absolutely brilliant. Wanted a pair of shorts that were out of stock in the Byres Rd shop but were in stock in another store. She went out of her way to organise them being delivered for me and even called to give me the tracking number a day later. Don’t get customer service like this very often. Thank you Rachael!

Shocking service. I purchased a jacket worth over £200. The item was to be delivered to a business address. The item was delivered and signed for by someone I do not know. There’s only one reception therefore unsure where the item has gone. Now the company are not willingly to take responsible and I’m left with a £214 bill. With no item to show for it. I’m shocked and saddened, as I purchase from this company a lot. This was a gift to my mum. Maybe to this company £214 is not a lot but during these uncertain times. It is to some of us. So I’m paying £214 for nothing?

Brands here include Hunter, Patagonia, North Face, Barbour and Ugg but also higher end European brands such as Aigle and Ilse Jacobsen.
I just went for a browse and I wasn't planning on buying but I ended up investing in a new waterproof winter coat for work. Got a good deal too!
Staff were friendly and helpful in making recommendations and offering assistance.
Well worth a visit, especially at sale time for investing
