Services
LED and traditional lighting (such as high-pressure sodium and halogen) don't produce and distribute light in the same way. Replacing older fittings with new LEDs 1:1 typically leads to a surplus of fittings burning electricity and ineffectively distributed light, which can lead to glare and areas of shadow.
Light is something we rarely actively notice in our day to day activities, however, the impact of light quality can be enormous. Light intensity is measured in lux at floor level. An upgrade from high pressure sodium typically takes floor level lux from a relatively gloomy approximate 200 lux to an average 400 lux, creating a much brighter environment.
When it comes to commercial scale lighting, there is no such thing an ideal a one-size-fits-all solution. We offer fully tailored, project managed upgrades designed to facilitate optimum lighting performance and the largest possible savings. Replacing older style lanterns 1:1 is usually an inaccurate strategy for retrofitting a commercial space - particularly in high bay areas.
We use our patented light injection for all environments with a low bay ceiling height or lower, as the technology is specifically designed to combat glare, making it one of the most comfortable luminaires available. LED light is intense and highly directional, which can create a strong contrast between light and dark within the visual range of the eye - this contrast is the cause of glare.
All Carbon Reduction Technology luminaires are smart system compatible and can be networked using a new or pre-existing system of the client's choice, or a system can be supplied and installed along with the new luminaires. Smart functionality can add an additional layer of efficiency to an LED lighting system by cutting out any remaining wasted light.
