Previously a Dental Surgery had been established here since 1974, but was then only operating for several days a week. We then set about providing a high-class surgery offering Private and Cosmetic treatment of a high quality and service. A large amount of time and effort is currently being devoted to changing the premises to a relaxing and comfortable environment to give patients a stress free and pleasant visit.

To achieve this aim we take the notes and current concerns of our patients very seriously and would like to see constructive critisism to help us achieve our aims. We value you not only as a patient but as friends also. We currently offer all forms of private and cosmetic work and also run the Practiceplan Scheme.
Services
A Practice Plan is a comprehensive dental payment plan. It's a way of spreading the cost of your routine and restorative dental care as specified by your dentist. The plan includes worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance) and access to Practice Plan's 24-hour Worldwide Emergency Helpline for support and dental advice.
Firstly, we will make accurately fitting trays of your upper and lower teeth, using a special thin and light transparent material. Then you place a small amount of Carbamide Peroxide on the inside surface of each tray and wear them overnight. Our tooth whitening gel contains a desensitising agent, however some users have reported sensitive teeth after use.
Porcelain veneers are ultra thin shells of ceramic material, which are bonded to the front of the teeth. This procedure can be the ideal choice for improving the appearance of the front teeth. Porcelain veneers are an excellent alternative to crowns in many situations. They provide a much more conservative appraoch to changing a tooth's colour, size or shape.
In the past, teeth were most commonly repaired with amalgam (silver) fillings or gold restorations. Thanks to the advances in modern technology, teeth can be restored with a more aesthetic and natural appearance. There are different types of cosmetic fillings currently available. The type used will depend on the location of the tooth and the amount of tooth structure that needs to be repaired.
Root canal treatment involves the removal of the nerve from the tooth by drilling a hole in the top surface of the tooth. The inside is cleaned out with discinfectants and needle-like instruments. The root canal is then dried and a rubber filling placed down the inside of the tooth. The mention of 'root canal' evokes images of severe pain.
