HLTree Services is a small local business based in the village of Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife. The business was established in 2015 and provides tree surgery and arboricultural services in Fife and the surrounding areas. I, Henry Lockhart Thomson (HLTree), have over ten years' experience in forestry and arboriculture.
I have a wealth of knowledge - being able to take care of any tree or garden task. I am fully trained and certificated by NPTC City & Guilds and LANTRA. I use only fully trained staff and I am fully insured to provide all arboriculture services. My aim is to provide a comprehensive service catering to your specific needs and those of your site.

Established in 2015 we provide tree surgery, tree felling, tree pruning, stump grinding, and arboricultural services in Fife, Dundee and the surrounding areas. It is not always possible to fell a tree from its base. At HLTree services we utilise the variety of techniques listed below to remove trees safely and efficiently with the least possible disruption. Assisted Felling: Using a rope or winch to assist the felling and guide the tree to its desired drop zone.
Trees require regular maintenance to ensure we can all enjoy their many benefits. If your trees are too tall, suffering from pests, disease, decay, blocking light, causing damage or any other issue I can assess your needs and provide the ideal service to maximise the enjoyment of your tree for years to come.
I provide skilled tree planting services to ensure lifelong healthy trees. The site will be assessed for suitability and safety using the CAT (cable avoidance tool.) Recommendations for the best species for your site can be given or I can help select a suitable site for a species you have already chosen.

Harry and his Team provided a thoroughly professional package for our project, which included the removal of six very mature trees and tree stumps. The quote for the work required was competitive and throughout the assignment the Team were proficient, hard-working and followed safe working practices. All team members communicated well and were polite and friendly. On completion of the works the site was fully reinstated and all waste material removed.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Harry for rescuing my son's frisbee from a tall tree in Craigtoun Park! We had only just got the frisbee and my son was horrified when the wind caught the frisbee on his first throw and took it up high into a tree. It made my sons' afternoon to see it rescued with the help of the Harry's crane. Fantastic and unexpected customer service!

I used HL Tree Services to take down our large palms. Harry was the ultimate professional and the job was done efficiently. I have also ordered wood chip from the company to help landscape our garden for a kids play area. It was delivered quickly and the two employees were excellent at the drop off. Highly recommended.
