Making quality aluminium fuel tanks for motorcycles since 1972, the TAB team have mastered the art of metal-working passed down from previous generations, and can now create a truly unique and artisan product. Our catalogue expands through various bikes including Norton, Triumph, Ducati, and, of course, our very own Honda TAB.
Please feel free to look at our Galleries for examples of our art. Each and every one of our tanks are handcrafted to suit a specific bike - we do not believe that one tank can fit all bikes. We can also offer a range of accessories to compliment your new tank, and to utterly transform your bike into a Classic Cafe Racer.

Services
We are a small team, dedicated to what we do. We understand the passion and commitment that our customers put into their projects, and treat every tank as if it was our own. Richard has always been an absolute petrol-head who loves all forms of motorsport, and so understands what it's like trying to track down parts for your "baby".
All separate components are hand formed from 1.5mm thick sheet aluminium, and wheeled into shape on the English wheel before being oxy-acetylene welded as were the original alloy tanks from back in the day. Then it's back on the English wheel for many more hours of wheeling until the tank takes shape, then it's sanded and linished and finally painstakingly polished to give a mirror finish.
Colin Purslow racing at Aintree, this is a Ducati Single with our Vic camp tank and custom seat. A Slimline Sprint tank on a 1966 Atlas featherbed frame A lovely Norton restoration job by Trophy Motorcyles of San Diego, CA. Tank and seat unit on a Royal Enfield 500 racer, owned and raced by Ian Henshaw of Performance Classics.
If you have any questions not covered please do not hesitate to email us with your questions. No sorry, we do not make tanks for every bike. Most of our tanks are designed for bike's from the 60's, 70's and 80's pre fuel injection and of the road race or caf racer style (not trials/scrambler). We have patterns for various models of Norton, Ducati, Honda, Rickman and Yamaha, and can often adapt an existing pattern to fit another frame.

Deleted my old review but the bottom line was that TAB seems to make good tanks but their customer service is lacking so I'll never know. Wouldn't have bothered posting another review but someone reached out to me on the forums asking about my experience and I didn't want to have to explain it again and again so in summary TAB needs to work on their customer service skills.

Purchased a tank for my LeMans Guzzi project and received it the other week. The workmanship and finish are to a high quality and I'm really happy with the product. Dealing with Richard was easy and they managed to build and deliver my tank to New Zealand without a hitch even in these crazy times.
Would definitely use again on my next build.
