Anderson Locksmiths
I started cutting keys at the age of 14 in my fathers hardware store, I then helped him start the locksmith business 30 years ago. My speciality was picking 3-lever back door locks with a coat hanger and I am pleased to say locks have evolved a lot since then. As a child I always enjoyed puzzles and finding out how things worked.

I love solving the every day problems that locks present. I'm on call 24 hours and will always give a guide price over the phone. If it's not clear what the problem is then I am happy to take a look and give an estimate with no fee. I work on all types of doors and windows, wooden, UPVC & aluminium.

It's very easy to panic and call the first number you see on Google, but please remember the first 3 or 4 adverts are sponsored and usually national companies that don't have a locksmith in the area, but they might tell you they have and then phone round to find someone willing to attend at exorbitant price.
A Mortice Locks is a lock that is inside the edge of a door so that it cannot be seen or removed when the door is closed, there are two types, Deadlock and Sashlock. A Night Latch is a door lock that can be operated from the inside by a knob and from the outside by a key.

These locks come in a variety of sizes and levels of security, one of the most popular and well know is the Chubb 5Lever British standard insurance approved mortice deadlock, a must for all wooden doors, which is usually accompanied with a Yale night latch. There are over 450 different Multi point locking mechanisms on the market and they are available next day if required.
Side or rear gates are very commonly used to access a house or property, they are often closer to a car parking space or it is preferable to bring the dog in to the back of the house, especially if it's just been for a muddy walk.

Rear gardens are also important to keep secure as much as possible, back door locks don't usually automatically lock, also your garden might not be overlooked allowing a potential burglar time to survey you house and even time to overcome your lock out of sight. In my opinion the simplest gate lock to use is the Gatemate lock.

Absolutely brilliant job! Greg managed to open double glazed french doors with a broken lock using specialist equipment. He replaced the main lock and then found the lower lock was bent and even though hard to find managed to source a new one online. Fitted both locks and adjusted the door to shut properly. Very professional. Would happily recommend to family and friends.

The door was no longer deadlockable as it had dropped over 18 months since installation. Called Greg as I've used him before when I locked myself out. Phoned him just before midday and although it wasn't urgent he arrived 4.30ish and sorted the door within 15 mins. Very knowledgeable and gave me good advice on maintaining the door and lock. Highly recommended. Seaford local.
