Orchard Day Nursery
A thorough risk assessment has been made and procedure's to protect children and staff as much as possible put in to place. Including smaller groups of children, staff remaining with their group throughout the day and week where possible, toys being sterilised immediately after play, no toys mixed between groups unless sterilised, along with frequent sterilisation of surfaces and contact points throughout the day.

Social distancing measures are in place where possible. There are also changes to the way you pick up and drop off to reduce footfall through the nursery and ensure social distancing. These are just some of the things we've implemented. For our full risk assessment please get in touch visa e-mail or phone.
Services
At Orchard Nursery we encourage each child in our care to learn new skills and develop as individuals. We offer activities that are first fun, always praising and encouraging. Our aim is to offer young children consistent care where your child will feel secure and at ease in their surroundings.

When your child leaves us to go to school, we hope it is with happy memories of their time spent with us, a good imagination and the confidence to question. If this is the case than as a nursery we have done our job giving each child not only good roots, but also the wings to fly.
At Orchard, we have a safe, enclosed walled garden. A third of the garden is covered allowing children to play outside in all winds and weathers. We have a paved area for bikes, scooters and cars, and both a grass and astro turf area. We aim to use the garden daily, and during the summer months garden umbrellas are used, so all activities can be lifted from inside to make the most of the weather.
We have a fabulous on site cook who provides nutritious meals for all. Dawn, our cook enjoys introducing new tastes as well as the firm favourites that make meal times both interesting and a positive experience for the children. Our housekeeper Moira also has two large organic allotments, and we are lucky enough to enjoy the fruits of her labour, although at times it can seem like the raspberry season is never ending!
