Services
A professional antique furniture restoration service covering London, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire offering modern and antique furniture restoration, French polishing and upholstery. Our workshop is based just south of Dorking on the A24, 30 miles from London. We visit London on a weekly basis to pick up your precious antique furniture for restoration.
Our workshop has the latest machinery and hand tools, coupled with our talented craftsmen who use traditional and time old techniques to restore and repair your antique furniture. We can match the colour of the wood, replace scarred veneers and invisibly repair the most intricate of inlays and marquetry.
Being established for over 45 years we have a large amount of experience in the design and making of bespoke furniture, interiors and freestanding hand-made pieces. We use a broad range of styles and finishes to create traditional, contemporary and modern items, so we are able to cater for all tastes and requirements.

A late nineteenth-century French reproduction of a Louis XV ladies' writing desk, which was in a very sorry state after spending many years in a south-facing window in the south of France, has been excellently preserved by Schryver for future generations and will now hopefully last for another one hundred years.

Jonny and team did a superb job upholstering bed,ottoman and chair. Easy and friendly to deal with and full of good ideas, advice and suggestions, Achieved superb finish and transformed furniture. I cannot recommend Schryver restoration highly enough. Jonny and his team could not have done a more beautiful and more sensitive job of repairing and reupholstering my early 1950’s Louis chairs. One of them had suffered a very bad break to the wood of the seat back. They were in vintage condition and I loved the age and worn patina of the paintwork as it was.

Schryver Furniture Restoration did a beautiful job on a desk for us. It needed detailed repair to inlays and replacement fretwork round the pigeon holes - and now it is impossible to tell what is new and what is the original. The whole desk is now glowing and quite lovely and will continue to be treasured for generations. Collection and delivery all perfect.
