This is the worst insurance provider ever, i have several insurances with them including income protection insurance. Since i was ill in march with several surgeries proof and evidence provided they have decided to finalise the case now 7 months later saying that after my first operation it was not 4 weeks deferred then my second operation is being… treated as a seperate episode and again not 4 weeks deferred so cant pay. My subsequent operatiosn were as a result of complications and had mrsa and sepsis so it was not a seperate illness and i never returned to work in between as i was bed

Discussing how they treat you at the worse time when you lose your loved ones, they never ring you when they say they will lose your paperwork 3x. Don't tell you when the company they send you with goes bust, dismiss your complaint, say you already are to the ombudsman, and you are not told. This company needs put out of business as they DONT payout.

Very poor customer service. I have been chasing them for months now just to get my pension transferred from my previous provider. No updates at all, they do not send the documents when they say they will. I have just tried to contact this morning and they put the phone down on me after being on hold for several minutes . I had to chase them just to know they needed my authorisation to proceed, which they never asked for. Seriously do not use them if you can

Terrible service, they are happy to take your money each month for twenty years but most unwilling to give it back. Their GDPR policy seems non-existent, they're happy to not worry about your identity when they are receiving money but when you'd like it back, you have to prove you exist several times over. I do not recommend them at all.

Informed them of the sad passing of my mother (after a 30 minute wait in a phone queue and two re-directions). They promised to send forms for a claim via email within 24 hours, yet no forms ever arrived via said email. They also, despite me “passing” their ID checks to give me (as her son and executor) any valuation of her policies. Eventually their claim forms arrived in the post a week later, and were sent back the next working day. I called for an update today but after another 20 demonstrably ill-spent minutes in a phone queue to just obtain a valuation (again) I just gave up. Returned

Speaking as a former employee, who had the misfortune of working for RLAM until recently. I would describe the culture and working environment as a toxic wasteland of opposing factions acting in uncoordinated opposition to one another. A company that prioritises appearance over substance, fake words over meaning, procedures written for everything, but followed for nothing. If you desire a culture of sitting at your desk with little to do until your manager leaves for their post-peak rail journey, then this is the place for you; If you desire stressful arguments over trivialities at the expense
