Whatever your age, if you have assets you should have a Will. No-one likes to think of not being here anymore but this is the reason it is vital that you plan ahead. Not only will it give you the security and piece of mind of knowing that those that you love are taken care of but it may also help to avoid expensive arguments after your passing over who gets what and why.
A Lasting Power of Attorney is a document that you make to appoint people that you trust to help manage your affairs when you cannot. Depending on your circumstances you can obtain one or both of these Lasting Powers of Attorney. However the important point to note is that these are only available if the person making the Power of Attorney is fully mentally capable of understanding the effect and implications of the document.

Take it from me. As a former legal assistant who worked in three continents; Australia, UK & Nederlands, it is nigh impossible to tackle your own legal issues without losing the plot. I will forever be in the debt of the most compassionate & ‘cut to the chase’ solicitor I’ve ever met (& I’ve met plenty)! The cost always puts people off and I get that. But when it’s a choice between your mental health & not celebrating birthdays & Xmas for the next decade, your mental health in the here & now must come first. I am truly grateful for the empathy & patience I have been met with at Sethi’s

I have known Mr Sethi for over 25 years. He has dealt with many of my life's Civil laws ups and downs from complex stuff like eviction and divorce to the mundane items like conveyancing and will writing. I have always found him honest, friendly and down to earth. To be honest he is the only solicitor I have met I have actually liked.

Awful! I went in to enquire about having some forms authorised and told it was £10 per form (I had about 4 in total) when questioned as to why it was so expensive I was looked at like I was insane and told it wasn’t expensive (?) and that other solicitors may not even be kind enough to provide this service, totally untrue as I went to a very friendly solicitors based in Richmond who were more than happy to help and only charged £5 per form which is to be expected for cost of paper and the copying. The staff here were very impolite and unhelpful!!!
