Hello, my name is Mark Whelband, and I would like to introduce myself and my company to you. We are a family owned double glazing company based in Loughborough. Established in 1991, we have had over sixteen years of manufacturing our windows, doors and conservatories in the town. Our 4000sq ft manufacturing unit gives us confidence in the quality of our products and potential customers are given a warm welcome when they visit us.

Services
Using the Synseal Shield 70mm system our windows are custom built to fit your home. The multi-chambered extrusion is stronger and gives improved thermal and acoustic performance. 28mm glazing in planitherm low E glass gives excellent performance and is fully compliant with government regulations. The planitherm glass does not have the colour tint that the more common K glass has so looks better when used with georgian bar units.
A traditional sliding sash window using modern materials designed to provide optimum strengthand thermal properties, with excellent weathering performance and security. A minimum of maintenanceis required to keep the windows at their peak. An added feature is the ability to tilt the sashes inwardto enable cleaning inside and out.
Our range of doors are designed to fit in perfectly with the window system. The standard door uses a two hook, four roller and single deadbolt lock for security and peace of mind. A safety catch device is avialable as an optional extra and takes theplace of a security chain, being much easier to use it is also tidier than a chain and is built into the door during manufacture.

Contacted their office for an appointment to estimate for change of windows and conservatory. I was given a time slot twice with Mr. Whelband which was cancelled at the last minute. Not to mention that I had to rearrange my own working engagements to be in for the appointments. For the third time I received a call from the office to make the third appointment, and the lady even sent me a confirmation email. I had to again rush home to be in time for the visit. But this time Mr Whelband did not even have the courtesy to phone and say he is not coming.

Went in looking for replacement window hinges. I was advised the ones I currently had (which I took with me) were sufficient and was given some excellent advice on how to fit them correctly.
I then asked if I could purchase a bag of screws - I was given a handful at no cost.
If only there were more people in this world like this gentleman (who I presume was the owner).
Will be considering this place in the future if I need replacement windows thanks to this positive experience.
