If you are coming to Ullapool from the south, as you come into the village take the right after the petrol station, follow the road up passing a High School and keep going until you cross a bridge then take the first left, follow the road along and you will see us on the left hand side.Driving from Inverness, take the A835 north over Kessock Bridge and follow directions for Ullapool.

It truly is an excellent base for you to enjoy, either a relaxing stay in Ullapool or to spend time touring the surrounding area. Prices include a mouth-watering full Scottish Breakfast or if you prefer you can just have more of a continental breakfast; the choice is yours!.
Tony and Bev, the owners of the Morefield Motel, and Graham, our Head Chef all work very hard to produce the finest food, from the freshest local ingredients that can be sourced in order to limit the company's environmental impact. Whilst Russell, our Front of House Manager, ensures that our diners are well looked after from the moment they arrive, to enjoy a night out with Friends or Family, regardless of what the celebration may be for.
Ullapool is on the coast of the North West Highlands of Scotland. Prehistoric settlements dating back to the Picts and from the Vikings around 800 AD surround the village, along with crofting townships, many of which were emptied during the 'Highland Clearances'.
The village as it is today was designed by Thomas Telford and established as a fishing station in 1788 and there is still a considerable influence from the sea, both the local fishing fleet and many visiting boats from the E.U. and as far a field as Africa and Russia. You can watch many of these boats unloading their catches at the pier.

Stopped here while touring the NC500. Ended up staying the night. Food was great, but not as great as the service and welcome. If youre looking for somewhere to stay while touring definitely a decent place to call in. Also big field around the corner to walk the dogs and a big tesco 2 minutes away to stock up.

The owner of the Riverside B & B where we were staying recommended the Moorfield and we were not disappointed at all, the service was excellent just as the food was, I had the best Guinness Steak pie ever and hubby had the Burns Chicken, highly recommend the Moorside if you are visiting Ullapool for work or pleasure 😍

Excellent food. Even if you don't like fish you will like it here. Its fresh and cooked in the proper way whatever fish it is. Superb!!! I even had two fish courses and I don't usually eat fish. Scallops and smoked salmon. Yum yum yum. Can't wait to eat here again. The service was also excellent and waiters/ waitresses came back to take drinks orders etc regularly. You don't get that in Yorkshire. This has to be a Jen 10 out of 10. The best of the best . We only ate here so I cant comment on anything else.

My husband and I were on holiday and the Morefield Motel & Bar was recommended to us for dinner. We were not disappointed. The Burns Special Chicken was absolutely delicious! The Deep Fried Haddock had a light and crispy coating that made it very good as well . We would definitely recommend this establishment!

Just had a meal here and it was very good and whilst the staff were very busy they where very friendly. This feels like a family run business which are always the best. We were looked after by Heather who has a great way with customers (even when they have a had a beer or two before arriving). She is a great asset to the business, well done all of the team.

I really like Morefield Motel. As a biker it delivers exactly what we require. The rooms are a wee bit on the small side but they are a warm comfortable place to sleep and with the bike right outside your door, it's ideal. A 5 minutes walk down to Ullapool for chips and a pint or dine in at the Morefield Motel restaurant which serves outstanding food. A good nights sleep and back on the bike the following day. Excellent breakfast and excellent staff. I'd recommend this place to any biker, or person to be fair.

Stayed for 1 night after a week of wild camping. Rooms have everything you need and are spotless, great to be able to park directly outside your room. Owner friendly and although we didn’t use the bar/ restaurant it has a menu with lots of choice for all. Will definitely be back if in the area again.

Please note this review is on the food and drink only, as I did not stay here.
This place was recommended by our B&B guesthouse host, SpinDrift, as being no frill decently priced food.
I had to book a table as the day before it was fully booked. When we arrived walked straight into the bar area and were greeted by the restaurant staff who confirmed our booking. We waited like 5 minutes before being seated during which we were able to order our drinks at the bar area.
We ordered two sirloin steaks which came with onion rings, mushroom and chips. There is another version which also comes with

Quite a cute motel. All comments about small rooms in need of refurbishment are fair. But at the same time we found the place had some charm. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Stone's throw to a great playground. 15 min walk to all the restaurants in Ullapool. The bar was lively in a good, atmospheric way - informal and welcoming. We'd return.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The room, whilst basic, have everything you need, a comfortable bed and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The highlight of our visit however was by far the food. Portions are a great size and the tastiest food we’ve had on our trip so far. Would definitely love to come back here again.
