The teams at our Sydenham, Lewisham and Beckenham funeral homes will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one.

Here at Steven Mears Funeral Directors we understand what a difficult time this is and it's our main aim to help and guide you through it. Funerals are incredibly personal so everything will be built around your needs.

Steven Mears Funeral Directors in Sydenham is located on Sydenham Road. If you are arriving by car to meet with us, visit your loved one in our Chapel of Rest or our on-site service venue there is parking available. We can help to plan religious and non-religious funeral services and serve many different faiths.
Cremations are now the most popular form of funeral. Most people will want a ceremony at the crematorium - using their chapel - but you can also hold the service in a church or other venue of your choice prior to the cremation. It is entirely up to you if you want the service to be religious or non-religious.

When I contacted Steven Mears in December I had never organised a funeral. I was terrified, but I soon found out I didn’t need to be. Jackie (at the Lewisham branch) was incredible from start to finish. She made me feel so supported and helped me to make decisions. She made something that should have been awful and stressful much easier. I cannot thank the team enough for helping me to organise a beautiful service for my Auntie.

This is not something I would think of doing for a Funeral Service, but I just felt I needed to post this review as Steven Mears Funeral Directors took all the pain away of having to arrange a funeral for my Cousin. In these times especially as it seems so impersonal having to do it via phone or internet. They were there to help all the time and nothing was too much trouble even if you were asking questions quite a few times. You have to get it right as this is something precious you are doing. They will advise and help wherever they can, also if there is something you want they will get it for
