My wife and I decided to get married at the end of May, only having a few weeks to plan we called Ian at Shortmead house and he invited us over to have a look at the venue. As soon as we got there we were very impressed with the venue. It was bright, warm and very welcoming, but the main reason why we chose the Venue was because of Ian and his Wife, they were so welcoming and really helped us out. Ian helped us plan the day, and gave us many ideas to make the day even better than we planned. On the wedding day Ian made sure the day ran smoothly, he was professional and very helpful. We visited Shortmead House as a family on a Red Cross open day. We had a wonderful time there. The grounds are well kept with interesting planting and architectural finds. It is a hidden gem that is beautiful and tranquil. What a lovely place to host a wedding, conference or team building event. The owners were informative and so friendly.
