We recognise that such people can be too busy to deal with day to day administration, and if required the Brebners team become fully involved in the individuals' circumstances, dealing with bank accounts, paying invoices, monitoring investments, assisting with the administration of the purchases of property etc.

We get particularly excited when people come to us when they are starting a new business venture. In our experience, clients are often unaware of the amount of administration involved in setting a business up in the correct way (and correct order) to avoid future problems.

Incorporate the company, not just your standard off the shelf variety, but with due care and attention given to setting up different share classes to incentivise key staff members (as start-ups are often cash poor, it can be useful to offer shares to key staff members so they will share in the success of the company), and also to exit routes.

No two owner-managed businesses are the same. Each one will have different goals, needs and strategies, be it growth, owner wealth maximisation or profitability. As a business grows and matures, the services that are required will change, and the focus of the owner may change from business growth, to consolidation, to retirement and making provision for the family.

Established businesses often have different needs to start-ups and early stage businesses. They will have established accounting and control systems, and may have passed through a period of rapid growth, and are now consolidating their position. We work with our clients to ensure that the focus on the business strategy is not lost.
