Kaizen Ryu Karate
Kaizen Ryu Karate Do is a family friendly karate club with a number of dojo in the East London and Essex areas. Our aim is to make karate accessible to the general public whilst keeping the etiquette and traditions strong. We are a traditional club that draws kata and training methods from both the Goju and Shotokan schools.

There is a strong emphasis on discipline and understanding of technique with the main focus of training being kihon (basic training) and kata, which lead instinctively to self defence training. We teach all ages from 5 years old, right up to 65. We offer children's classes for boys and girls under 13 and all ages classes geared toward adults and children who take their training even more seriously.
Services
By offering you the opportunity to train in a number of locations with different times/students/instructors you will have a better idea if we are the club for you long term. This will also give you an idea of which classes you are comfortable to commit to. Please e-mail us on enquiry@kaizenryu.com or call us on 07743-764234 with your name, address and contact number.
The journey to black belt and beyond is more than just a matter of learning a series of kata. The karateka must also develop skills and attributes to become completely rounded. These Core Requirements dictate the content of the classes that the student trains in on a weekly basis. Over the years required to achieve Shodan and above, your instructor will ensure that you are proficient in all the areas of the Core Requirements.
Nominated in 2010 at the Canary Wharf Sports Personality of the Year Award, as Junior Sports Team of the Year "for their outstanding achievements in karate". It's fun, it's exciting, it's challenging, it's demanding but most of all you will experience what it's like to be part of THE team! This is your opportunity where you can learn new skills both physically and mentally to help prepare you for competition martial arts.
It's squad members train regularly on top of their regular training schedule and have come on a long way since then. Their efforts and passion for the sport in and out of the competition arena has recently been getting noticed by top people and getting results at top level. Incredible achievements from young people who are rapidly becoming positive role models in their communities.
Aside from our regular classes in the evening and weekends, we also run a number of after school programs across East London and Essex. The benefits of these classes are that your child can have taster sessions of what karate/martial arts has to offer in an environment they are comfortable with.

Starting in Autumn 2010, the club has agreed to deliver a series of after-school programs across the London Borough of Tower Hamlets as part of their commitment to "Providing outstanding opportunities and support for young people in Tower Hamlets to reach their potential, realise their ambitions and develop personally through sport".The Caterham School Sports Partnership (Caterham SSP) links each secondary school with a group of primary schools.

My son's been going there for just over a year. He absolutely loves it. Very friendly atmosphere. He looks forward to going there. As a parent can't ask for more.
