Handmade Adirondack chairs, workbenches, potting benches, kitchen islands & farmhouse furniture. My name is Nick Rhodes and I originally started work as a maintenance gardener with a fortnightly round, but before long I was designing and building bespoke garden structures for my clients' gardens. I started off making basic structures and over time my designs became increasingly intricate and detailed.
I then started making Adirondack Garden Chairs and over the first couple of years we expanded our Adirondack range as people requested variations on what we were already offering. We moved from our very small workshop (see picture) into something much bigger and took on some help in the workshop. Our next product line was our Workbenches.

Services
With pressure treated timber you may notice small cracks appearing (often in the arms), this is caused by the timber drying out very rapidly in the sun and wind. This is completely normal and will not effect the durability of your furniture. See an example. Put your legs up or gently slope them down, you can do both with this clever folding footstool.
Standard Height of 0.46m but we can make taller to fit your Counter, Kitchen Island or Bar. These beautifully crafted traditional Farmhouse Kitchen Benches are solid and built to last a lifetime. Each Bench is made to order from solid redwood in our workshop in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The top is made from specially selected redwood - this is thoroughly checked for twisting, warping and cracking before being joined to make the worktop.
Optional lower shelf - choice of full, three quarter, half depth or enclosed to make a log storage area or add a second shelf. These beautifully crafted traditional Potting Benches are solid and built to last. Each bench is made to order from solid, tanalised redwood in our workshop in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Our beautifully crafted South-East Asian inspired Gazebo Garden Pavilions are solid and built to last. Each structure is made to order from solid, tanalised redwood in our workshop in the East Riding of Yorkshire. As these Garden Structures have already been pressure treated there is never any need to apply any additional paint, varnish or preservative.

Exceptional! A beautiful, strong, sturdy workbench adapted to meet the space available. Ordering was easy and Nick confirmed requirements before commencing work. Delivered within time frame with no issues, delivery team put the bench in situ. Wont need another workbench in my life time but would defiantly go back and highly recommend Nick.

I am originally from Vermont in the northeastern US where this style of chair originated and remains very popular. So I know my Adirondack chairs, and these are the real deal. Nick has been most accommodating in our special request for Michigan-shaped Adirondack chairs. We also asked for a particular colour combination. Nick worked very well with us to ensure things were done to our specification and the delivery was much anticipated. They are great. Well-made, solid and beautiful as well as being incredibly comfortable even without any cushions. In the Spring we plan to make a gravelled area in our garden for the chairs to be and act as our tea spot.

Nick made three potting tables for us for an old walk-in kennel. They are well made, solid and sturdy. Nick was pleased to make on or two tweaks to his normal design to suit our needs. The tables were delivered within the time-frame. We thought the price was neither expensive or cheap but reasonable. Nick was good to deal with. We are very happy with our purchase. So much so, that we are going to order a work bench.
