We are a family run business, originally run by John Harris, with help from his wife Ann, who took over the bath store in 1970 from Ms Coates. Our business is now operated by John's daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Peter Hawking, still with valuable help and advice from John.

Coates Florist was established in 1950 by Ms. Coates in Bath, hence the name of the business. In 1970 Mr. John Harris took over the business and ran it with the help of his wife Ann and other family members. He also established a small nursery growing his own plants. The shop in Bath has now closed leaving only the Chippenham premises.
We pride ourselves in creating breathtaking floral designs for your special day. We work closely with you to ensure all the flowers have been selected to compliment your unique style and to work within your budget. Our carefully crafted sympathy flowers can be ordered directly from our team in store or by telephone who will work with you to ensure a personal and heartfelt farewell for your loved one. Should you require delivery on a Sunday, bank holiday or a specified delivery time please call us as we may be able to accommodate your specific requirements. Same day delivery is available on orders received by 1pm. If you need same day delivery after this time call us as we may still be able to help you.

This was a very last minute idea to send some Flower's to my brother & sister in law for their 30th Wedding Anniversary & within hour's a beautiful bouquet had arrived with the colour of the Flower's, Paper & Bow exactly as I had asked for along with some Pearl Sequin's to mark the Pearl Anniversary. Very impressed with the quick delivery however on view of the photo I was sent I am very disappointed with the hand tied bouquet I ordered. I asked for bright colours and it came white and yellow and it just looks like someone a picked a small buch of this and that and put them together with no artisic flair, I could have done better arrangement myself and alot cheaper - very dull and boring I'm afraid.
