Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical treatment technique, used today in the treatment of a wide range of medical conditions, and is particularly effective in the relief of pain. It also promotes a real sense of relaxation and wellbeing - factors which are very appropriate to the use of acupuncture in physiotherapy programmes.

Having long standing back issues and pain, Jane was recommended to me by a colleague. That was 18 years ago, since then whenever my back has needed attention, she has been my goto person for treatment. I cant speak highly enough of her and the work she does.

Really friendly, made me feel really at ease. Explained everything and filled me with confidence for a quick recovery from a shoulder replacement.

Having damaged my tendon due to the wearing the wrong trainers when running, I limped in to see Sarah.
After a detailed analysis I was sent home with a selection of exercises and a follow up appointment for the following week. After 5 weeks of Physio and a structured recovery plan for my tendon, I completed the Lytham 10k achieving a PB! I actually looked forward to my seasons with Sarah as I could see that my treatments were repairing the damage. Hopefully I won’t be back soon!!

I went for physio in Whalley after having a alot of pain in the bottom of my back. I'd previously, about 5 years ago, had the same pain and suffered for months whilst attending a NHS back and spinal clinic. They gave me exercises to do, had acupuncture and also had 2 cortisone injections, however I felt it was only time that helped me in my recovery. Sarah at the practice was like a breath of fresh air: she knew exactly what was wrong with my back and explained everything. She was hands on and massaged my back advising that my muscles had gone into spasm. After the first session, my back felt so

Jane and the team at Whalley Physiotherapy are amazing! They manage to keep me on fit and on the netball court despite my many ailments. Notably, Jane helped me succefully rehab my ankle when I had previously tired elsewhere with little success. Always a warm and friendly welcome. I couldn't recommend them more.

In the past I have visited osteopaths, chiropractors and other physiotherapists which have only been able to offer me short term relief. Jane Connelly has been able to stabilise my neck and back in order for me to manage my condition through treatment and exercise. I feel so much better and am grateful that I have eventually found a professional who has the knowledge and expertise to diagnose my condition and give me the appropriate treatment. Thankyou Jane your a star!

As a keen runner I often visit Jane for either a sports massage or to help treat an injury which I pick up during my love for this sport! She is a wealth of knowledge and always has a friendly smile to greet her patients.
