A warm welcome awaits you at the Swan, Kingholm Quay, Dumfries with Angela McIntyre, previously venue manager of Easterbrook Hall, at the helm. The short drive out of Dumfries along Kingholm Road to the Swan is well worth the effort, or if you're feeling a little more energetic, then take the picturesque walk from Dock Park along the river to Kingholm Quay.
We serve straightforward good pub food, in a lovely setting, with quick and friendly service. Spend a warm summer's evening in our spacious beer garden, or snuggle up inside in the winter next to our log-burning stoves. So come along and experience great pub food, a relaxed atmosphere, warming log fires, outdoor dining in the beer garden, the fully stocked bar including real ale and a friendly team offering table service.

The Swan is a lovely 1.5 mile walk along the River Nith from Dock Park. Just follow the riverside path through Dock Park, along a very short section next to the road as you pass the Kirkpatrick Macmillan bridge, and then back onto the riverside path past the cricket pitch. Both the No 6 and No 6A buses service Kingholm Quay, leaving Dumfries town centre from Great King Street and from the Loreburne Centre.

The meal was fairly good although I thought the puddings were quite small for the money, and it was rather slow to my mind as it wasn't overly packed at that time.
The grounds outside seemed to be ample and plenty tables. although there has been a fireplace fitted where we sat but no heat came from it I think it needs a vent to allow the heat into the dining room but it went out and the waitress rekindled it. It was not cold but just comfortable towards chilly.
I also noticed the carpark although takes a few cars needed re topping as on alighting from the vehicle you had to walk through large

A really lovely pub/eatery to visit. Every single member of staff was friendly, warm and welcoming. Great value menu with a superb meal deal for kids (£2 per meal with a full adult meal between 5pm and 6.30pm). Lots of choice on menu, plenty of space inside and out and a fun pirate ship for the kids to explore when waiting for their meal. Highly recommend a visit.

Thank you for fitting in my family in at short notice. My Son commented that your onion rings were the best he has ever eaten, high praise indeed. The burgers were so delicious and such huge portions chips and coleslaw to accompany.
To top it off was just the best and most attentive service.
My family and I will definitely visit again.
Thank you again

Food was delicious and didn't have to wait that long. The staff were all lovely and friendly, service was great. We chose to sit outside as it was a lovely evening, there is plenty of space outside. When needing the bathroom, it was easy to find and had hand sanitising before you go in and after you come out as well as in the bathroom. It was nice to see people bringing their dogs in to the restaurant too, they were well behaved and even they had water stations out for them.
