Absolutely awful place. The owner and his wife are unprofessional and the way I would describe them is as "second hand light fitting sales". The guy is rude, slimy and has no customer care whats so ever. I cannot believe that they are still there. We had a credit note and he refused to honour it. Their light fittings overall look like they are from a back of a lorry. I would seriously think twice before going to this place. They are rip off merchants and should be reported. I am now looking to going to get further advice on what has happened to us. Please keep away from this awful place.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE "NO HASSLE RETURNS POLICY"!! The website does not make it clear that this only applies to goods bought online and NOT to goods purchased from the shop. I have been left with lighting costing £300, unused and still in the box, which I cannot use and which Sherwood Lighting will not take back. BEWARE!! I will never shop here again and I would advise everyone else to do likewise.

Only gave one star to give review. Be very careful with this Co. On 20 June 2019 I ordered 3 lamp shades. £108 taken from Visa account. As I heard nothing further, I phoned about 4 days later. Was advised shades I had ordered " discontinued"!! Asked why I was not told this at time of purchase / why money taken from Visa account?. Employee couldn't say& never apologised. Sent two emails chasing up. Still never received apology. Eventually, on 25 July, Visa account ( AT LONG LAST) credited with £108!! Meantime, I has received Visa bill so have to pay £108 to them in 2 weeks time. You couldn't

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Do yourself a favour and shop somewhere else. I bought an external light from them, waited 4 weeks with me always chasing them, never any correspondence from them. Some story to fob me off everytime I phoned. Eventually cancelled the order and bought it from at a lower cost and it was delivered within 4… days. I was then fobbed off several times when trying to get a refund and had to threaten to come into the shop personally with my card to get a refund before they finally processed it. Utterly rubbish company. Worth -5 stars.

The goods were cheap and nowhere near the £200 + we paid for them and so we returned them, followed all of their ridiculous returns policy rules which contradict the Consumer Rights Act, but we did it anyway. We signed and recorded delivery the returns which were exactly as they were received in original… packaging. We are in the third week that they have had our money and the lights. We have still not even spoken to the returns department, all of our calls (atleast 1 a day for at least the last 10 days) have been ignored and fobbed off, emails

Fantastic, helpful service. We travelled 60 miles to visit the showroom, really worth the visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. We bought 5 ceiling light fittings, and they did us a deal on the multi purchase. Some lights weren't in stock so all are being sent by courier in a few days time, free of charge. I would certainly visit again when I need lighting.
