Services
I started Moray Driving School in 2009 after having completed 23 years in the Royal Air Force. I have served in several countries around the world, however, the last 7 years of my career were probably the most challenging and rewarding once I became a military driving instructor. I then specialised in teaching HGV's, coaches, car, off-road driving, and even some motorcycle training along with some other specialised equipment.
Our driving lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis and start when we collect you from the pre-arranged collection point; we use modern and well-maintained vehicles fitted with dual controls. We document your lessons and track your progress; this is available for you to see at any time. If you are thinking of doing private practice (with a parent/partner) we encourage your accompanying driver to sit in on a lesson and ask questions.
Our Semi-Intensive courses (280) are conducted over 2 days, Saturday and Sunday with Brian or Friday and Saturday with Steve, and lasts for 10 hours. We start on Day 1 at 9AM and complete the first 3-hour block; we then have a lunch break for an hour and resume at 1PM for a further 3 hours.
On Day 2 we start at 9AM or sometimes 10AM and do a two-hour lesson and then stop for a 30-minute coffee break (usually with the instructor) then we complete the last 2-hour block.A semi-intensive course is a good way of starting lessons as we accomplish a lot within the 10 hours or as a top-up course to bring you along quicker.

Pass Plus is a government-backed scheme, and to meet the requirements you must complete a minimum of 6 hours and cover all modules. Our Pass Plus course lasts approximately 8 hours and covers about 350 miles. We start at about 9AM and head down the A941 where we join the A9 just north of Aviemore. From there we continue to Perth where we drive through the centre and join the M90 to Dunfermline.

I would like to say that Brian Hodder is an absolute legend. I have autism which can hamper my concentration at times and yet Brian still managed to get me confident enough to pass my test. I seriously cannot recommend this guy enough. He knows what he's doing and managed to alter our lessons to not overwhelm me when driving.

Brian was amazing. I have suffered with anxiety at the test centre in the past with other instructors but Brian's standards of driving are so high, that his belief that I could do it, had me believing I could.
I can't describe how much this means to me and how much Brian helped me. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
He's also a lovely bloke.
