Spot UV Varnish is a process whereby we would apply a clear gloss, matt or satin 'laquer'onto specific areas of (usually) pre litho-printed sheets. Either directly onto the paper or, more effectively, after the sheet has been matt laminated. Spot UV can also be used directly onto most uncoated stocks too, simply by first applying a matt UV and then a gloss UV over the top.
As part of our laminating service as a trade finishing house we offer a variety of OPP (Bi-orientated Polypropylene), polyester and nylon films that enhance any printed matter, providing additional strength and durability to the end product.
Films come in a wide variety of finishes, from the most commonly used OPP matt, silk and gloss, through to the eye-catching, bio-degradable Diamond matt & gloss, scuff free matt, linen, lay flat and the new digital OPP (for fuser oil issues).

From roses to rubbish dump or freesia to farmyard, we can reproduce virtually any fragrance to suit any marketing requirement. We take any printed matter and apply a fragrance from a large stock catalogue or capture virtually any bespoke fragrance, the choice is yours.
The process of scratch and sniff uses micro-encapsulation technology in which tiny droplets of fragrance oil are captured in microscopic capsules that break easily upon the slightest touch, adding aroma to packaging, printing or even the product itself.

As the name suggests thermochromatic inks are temperature activated inks that we apply to mostly pre-printed litho sheets, for promotional items such as game cards. Much in the same way as rub removable inks. However, thermochromatic inks have a far more versatile quality and can be used as a safety feature on labels, as warnings to show whether a product is either too hot or too cold.
One key area of our business is overprinting litho-printed and digitally printed sheets with a rub removable silver or gold opaque ink, that can be scratched off, either with a coin or fingernail. This process is most often used on promotional scratchcards or high security products. Sheets should be printed, varnished and be properly dry (2-3 days) prior to applying the rub removable ink.
