Dundas Fyfe Funeral Directors
Founded as a family firm in 1878, Dundas Fyfe has long been part of the Motherwell community. Generations of families have trusted us to provide the care and support they need. We are able to take care of every aspect of funeral planning and arrangements, from guiding you through what needs to be done, to helping you create a fitting memorial. We are now part of the Scotmid family, so have the support of an extensive network of suppliers, ensuring that whatever you need from us can be arranged.
Services
We can help you with all aspects of the funeral arrangements, from placing announcements in local papers to selecting a memorial. We understand that you want the most fitting service for your loved one; that's why we'll take the time to talk through their wishes with you. Whether it's a traditional funeral service or something more unusual, we'll guide you through what needs to be done and make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
We send a questionnaire a few weeks after the funeral to every family we look after. This provides us with important feedback, these questionnaires are reviewed by our management team and are used to improve our service. To make a comment or complaint about our service you can contact us by phone, email or post.
CHAS offers a full-family support service for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. As Scotland's only children's hospice provider - they are there for any family who needs their support. Funds raised through the partnership will enable vital development and expansion of their outreach service, CHAS at Home, ensuring they can support children and families in every community across Scotland.
Arranging a funeral can be a difficult time, you can contact us 24 hours a day, so please call us at anytime. Our office is open from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, outside of office hours just call us on 01698 263115 and your call will be directed to our out of hours service. Dealing with the loss of a family member or friend is difficult, but knowing what to do and who to contact can make dealing with the arrangements a little easier.
There are various things you'll need to do when someone dies - some of which will vary depending on where and how they died. Whilst the list may look daunting at an already difficult time, you may be able to get other family members and friends to help out with some things. In addition, we'll provide as much support and guidance as we can to make things as simple as possible.

The MacKenzie and Derrick family can’t thank you enough for your service and care you gave us for my sister in law Janettes funeral. During these hard times it was difficult for us but you went above and beyond to make this an easier process. From the day we walked through the door until the day we were dropped off after the funeral your team showed nothing but care and respect for the family. You should all be proud of yourself for the service you give to people in their time of need. Thank you 🙏
