At Stephen Byram Motor Engineers, we offer a fully comprehensive car service that you can be 100% satisfied with. Although car servicing is not a legal requirement, we highly recommend getting your car serviced on a regular basis. Regular servicing can help to identify potential problems with your vehicle, and servicing it at least once a year will make sure that essential checks are carried out.
Our dedicated VOSA authorised MOT test centre is located 2 minutes from our main garage. At the Magdale Test Centre, we perform MOT's to government regulations, testing important parts of your vehicle to make sure they meet the legal standards. During the MOT we test all the required car parts as shown in the diagram below.

I have used this garage for the past 3 or 4 years for MOT tests and welding work. Their work is always top notch, the staff are friendly, professional and obviously know their trade very well.
No question is ever too silly, they explain everything needed in detail and only do what is needed.
Their prices are reasonable, you can probably find cheaper, but I doubt you will find better.
All in all, a brilliant family run garage that I recommend highly.

I've used this garage for over 10 years and they really seem keen to do a great job. They are very honest and don't do work which is needed. Wouldn't go anywhere else now.

I have used Stephen Byram's garage for Mot 's and repairs for many years. The mechanics are great always have a laugh with them and they sort my car problems out promptly no matter what I call in for. Office staff are great always keep me entertained if I am waiting. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else when they are so reliable. Highly recommend.
