Flitwick Jewellers
Flitwick Jewellers is proud to be a local independent family business with a commitment to customer service being our highest priority. The business was started in 1977 at 1 Station Square in Flitwick by Mrs Margaret Harris, having worked at James Walkers Jewellers from 1957 as a Saturday girl, then full time until 1964, when she left to have her first daughter Deborah.

Margaret's second daughter Vanessa was born in 1966. In 1969 she worked for R Chambers Jewellers in Luton initially part time, then was offered a full time position at Ronald Godfrey Jewellers in Bedford in 1970, which was then taken over by J Weir & Son where Margaret was first manager in their St Albans store then to become manager in their Bedford store.

Update. I had to send my ring to a jeweller in Hatton Garden they gave me a full and thicker new shank at less than half price of what flitwick jewellers quoted which was £700 for a half shank ! The lady who sizes my ring originally said a couple of the stone settings needed attention and this was an extra £400. So Hatton garden jeweller checked them and all were perfectly fine My feeling is they wanted to make money out of me unnecessarily. I have attached a photo of the ring after it snapped when I took it off after they had worked on it twice, first time was to make it bigger but they made
