Glydon & Guess is a fourth generation family run business, established in the Royal Borough since 1940. We have a long serving team of highly-skilled jewellers, expert valuers and a master clockmaker who work together to make Glydon & Guess so unique. Servicing, repairing and selling a range of quality time pieces, they soon became a well respected, reliable business.
In 1973 Violet's son Roy, who was trained as a first class watch maker during his national service, took over the business. With his wife, Pamela, he introduced jewellery to the shop and transformed Glydon & Guess into a thriving retail jewellers. 5 years later Roy's son, Andrew, joined the business having trained in jewellery making, jewellery restoration and gemology.

We know that designing a bespoke engagement ring can be daunting. Whether you would like a classic or contemporary style, our expert on-site jewellers will work with you to design the perfect ring for your loved one. In the last 80 years, four generations of our family have perfected their craft at Glydon & Guess.
Throughout the UK lockdown, we are offering a Click & Collect service on any new piece of jewellery. The stock we have online is only a small sample of what we have available so please don't hesitate to contact us if you are looking for something else and we will certainly be able to find you something truly special.
All of our wedding bands are handmade, just for you in gold, rose gold, white gold, platinum, or palladium. We have a vast range of patterns to choose from in varying widths and profiles all of which can be set with diamonds. We can also shape a band to fit your engagement ring if required.

Commissioning a bespoke piece is a personal experience, resulting in the creation of a precious heirloom. From the first hand drawn sketch to the finished piece, our expert jewellers will use traditional techniques to create a unique piece of jewellery. Me and my husband went here to purchase a long awaited engagement ring, we found the perfect ring with the help of an amazing man, nothing was too much bother for him helping me to try different designs on many times, we finally decided on the ring and had to have it resized but only waited the weekend and was ready to collect very quickly
He suggested getting my old wedding ring polished with it and what an amazing difference it made, I would come back here whenever I need anything in the future, I can not praise high enough

A friend recommended me here and they made me a beautiful engagement ring which my girlfriend loves. She always tells me that her friends at work admire it. A fantastic company. Unfortunately I had to have my engaged ring cut off and Glydon and guess repaired the ring to a very high standard. I have then gone on to have my wedding band made by them. I needed it custom made to fit around my engagement ring and wow. The service is simply fantastic. The ring was beautiful. Anya created a beautiful ring. Even picking up the ring 5 days before the wedding and feeling it was to small didn't worry them. They altered the ring and had it back to me on 3 days. Every person I spoke to and met were brilliant. Thank you all!

I recently sold some gold jewellery that I didn’t want anymore and I can confidently say it was one of the best prices in Kingston for gold I was able to find. The entire process from very easy and very quick so I walked away with a deal I was happy with and the money in my pocket pretty much immediately. If you want good prices for your second hand gold jewellery, these are the guys to go to.
