If you're suffering from back pain, neck pain, knee, shoulder pain, elbow, wrist, hip or ankle pain, don't suffer in silence when help is at hand! My name is Russ Cassidy, and I am a sports massage therapist in West Sussex. I have been running Rebalance Sports Massage Ltd since 2004 and have two clinics, one of which is in Worthing and the other in Steyning.
I have clients who come from all over East and West Sussex and further afield and I have established a very good reputation within my line of work. Within the treatments I provide I work with the following attributes; intuition, knowledge, experience and I listen to what you and your body tells me.

Lisa was a part time administrator for 25yrs in a very busy office environment but had always had an interest in holistic therapies. Reflexology dates back to the ancient Egyptians and is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that encourages the body to rebalance and heal itself.
It involves applying thumb and finger pressure to specific points on the feet known as 'reflexes' which reflect/mirror the organs and structures of the body as well as a persons emotional health.

During your first visit for Remedial and Sports Massage treatment there will be time set aside for a brief medical and general information consultation, followed where necessary by a postural assessment, looking in particular at the severity, intensity and nature of the condition/s. It depends on the individual's symptoms and case history as to how long this takes but generally about 10-15 minutes.
Massage, applied skilfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. Received regularly this may help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. A constant build-up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves.
Some people may be put off by the idea that this type of massage is a lot deeper than others. Yes, at times, it can be uncomfortable to receive, but most describe this as a 'good pain' what's the phrase?
Your treatment, which is tailored for each individual client, may include a number of massage techniques, both superficial and deep, pressure techniques, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue release, myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques and muscle testing and balancing.

Massage therapists may use combinations of any of the following techniques using their fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows and forearms. The word effleurage derives from the French word, effleurer, which means 'to skim'. It is a form of massage involving stroking movements with the hands sliding over the skin, and is always used at the beginning and end of as well as in between other techniques during a massage session.

I was recommended to go see Russ by a friend, I had suffered with severe pain in my back neck shoulder and arm, I was taking various strong pain killers and almost 9 months waiting on NHS, so went to Russ nervous as not knowing what to expect, we talked through what was hurting, and he applied massage in a few areas, it was quite agonising after, but with in days the relief was tremendous, several months on now and I only take pain relief once in a while, as I am a builder I do heavy labour intensive work, and never thought I'd go to a sports massage, but I am sooo glad I did and would highly recommend

Exceptionally good - always manages to pin point the underlying problem. Whether it is shoulders, back, legs, feet, Russ and has the techniques to to get them working again. Both preparing for, and tackling problems arising from a range of sports, I have always found Russ to make a huge difference and make me feel looser and more mobile.
