If you find that your steering 'wobbles' above a certain speeds, this may be a sign that your wheels are not balanced properly. If left unresolved, this can not only be uncomfortable and even dangerous to drive, but will also affect the fuel performance of your vehicle and cause excess wear on other steering components and suspension parts as well.
We all know safety is paramount but tyres are often left unchecked for longer periods than they should be. Everyday wear and tear takes its toll and things like tyre pressure, tread depth and even damage to tyres goes unnoticed which can lead to inconvenient and unnecessary costs, or in more extreme case accidents and serious injury.
At Station Tyres and Service Centre, we specialise in mobile fitted tyres for cars and light commercials in and around Newbury & Thatcham, we also cater Cars to Vans, 4x4's, minibuses and motorhomes. We stock all leading brands from Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, Bridgestone, Goodyear, General Tyre, Kumho, Hankook, Firestone, BF-Goodrich and Dunlop.

Went for two new rear tyres and a wheel alignment. Station tyres were unable to complete the alignment despite keeping my car for over two hours. They claimed that the car had been fitted with sub-standard alignment hardware and that the bolts had been damaged. I was given a rather grumpy feedback from the reception when picking up my car. I took the car to my mechanic who fixed the alignment bolts, although it was not clear how they had been damaged. I called station tyres to see if they would realign the suspension and they had no interest in helping me or supporting the quality of their work

I went for wheel alignment there twice as I was recommended by a friend but the first time they didn't do it as the the tracking rod end was seized but I was charged anyway. Went the second time after changing the tracking rod ends somewhere else and after doing the tracking they wanted to charge me again full price which I didn't feel it was fair. As I didn't pay the second time they didn't give me the tracking report. Then as I was not sure if they did the job properly I went to double check at another garage and apparently they had done a very bad job as one of the front wheels was 9.5mm out
