Commemorative plaques are traditionally handmade cast in aluminium with raised/embossed lettering & outside border. The clean crisp embossed letters are formed when the molten aluminium flows into the mould at 700 degrees C (Not glued on) producing a solid one-piece casting to last a lifetime. Having pre-drilled countersunk fixing holes, we include wall plugs, stainless steel screws & small vial of matching paint for screw heads.
We no longer make this style due to the many weeks of sculptured artwork and foundry pattern-work tooling (get-up costs) this needs to be done before we can start to make any signage. A Council will have say two, three or four signs, effectively a very small limited edition, this makes the sign prohibitively expensive for most Parish Councils.
