I qualified as an osteopath in 1999 from the British School of Osteopathy, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Osteopathy, BSc (Hons) Ost. Since qualifying I have worked consistently as an assistant osteopath in a variety of osteopathic clinics, and I established my own clinic, the Rivermead Osteopaths in 2002.
I am passionate about improving people's wellbeing through osteopathic treatment. I do this through the hands-on treatment itself, and offering advice and tools for people to better manage their situation. Obviously osteopathy isn't the only way to improve a person's wellbeing. I have built a network of reliable healthcare practitioners over the years to refer to if necessary.

Services
Osteopaths believe that the healthy balance and function of our musculoskeletal system is essential to whole body health. Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy. It is drug-free and non-invasive and works on aiming to achieve the optimal health of the musculoskeletal system. This includes joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia.
A number of treatment methods might be used depending on the problem. Treatment can include specific soft-tissue massage and stretch. This could include work onto muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. The mobility of joints can also be improved using a variety of articulation, traction and osteopathic manipulation techniques where appropriate.

I have known Claire for a few years and had heard great things about her. Today I had an online consultation, due to the obvious lockdown situation, and was super-impressed by her knowledge and innate understanding of the problems and issues I was facing; the way she tested and double-checked to confirm she was sending the best corrective exercises. If you have any aches, pains, structural problems I can recommend Claire 100% for results and peace of mind.

Went to see Claire for the first time just a week ago with extremely bad sciatica pain in my right side and leg . All the pain Relief and pill from the dr ( I was taking 8tablets 3 times a day ) doing no good . 2 visits to claire an I feel so much better. I’ve stopped the pills from the Drs and still seeing claire. I’m not pain free yet but definitely a lot better. Thank you claire so much .

The initial first session price can seem quite expensive at first. After the session though you quickly realize that it was worth every penny. I left my first session with all the tools needed to help improve my own condition. After a second session to free-up my back some more and a check on my progress my course of treatment was ended. There was no pressure to attend more sessions than required. I would highly recommend this clinic to anybody.
