At R.A. Haulage we aim to provide a professional and efficient distribution service utilising the latest technology. Our company is family owned and specialises in regional, ambient pallet distribution services within the food and drink industries. We operate with a modern mixed fleet of rigid and articulated vehicles utilising curtain sided and box trailers providing load capacity of up to 44 tonnes GVW.
A 10 ton flat vehicle followed with regular work delivering building materials for companies such as General Asphalt. The business began in Kentish Town but moved to Camden Town in 1956 when the company rented a haulage yard from British Rail. 10 ton Bedford flat vehicles with railway swap bodies were used originally but these were replaced by 10 ton Luton boxes.
We have operated Volvo trucks for the past twenty years. All tractor units are tri-axle with air suspension operating at 44 tonnes GVW. All vehicles have reduced polution certificates or low emission certificates and are all able to operate within the London Low Emission Zone. It is now company policy to specify Euro 5 engines on all new vehicles.
We operate a fully computerised traffic and accounts system using Roadrunner software. Full internet access is available and we have facilities for accepting work electronically, integrating with applications such as Manugistics. Experienced staff are always on hand to ensure a seamless integration from initial booking, through to confirmation of delivery, pallet control, POD provision and final invoicing.
