A self-taught artist and jewellery maker she and her family relocated to the glorious South West coast of Scotland in 2006. Having spent much of her life in big cities the change of lifestyle was an enormous challenge, but gave Shirley the opportunity to return to her love of crafting and art.
Living near to rolling hills, rocky shores and deep forests has inspired Shirley to create an abstract style of art, working in a variety of mediums including acrylic paints, alcohol inks and encaustic wax.Her " Wee Galloway Art " miniature paintings are a popular seller with customers in the gallery, each little painting is produced on a 9 cm x 7 cm canvas and comes with it's own easel for display.
