Armstrong and Co did the probate work on a close relative's will. It has taken them 1.75 years to administer a simple Will and I still have not received the final payment despite being promised it nearly a month ago. They blamed most of their delays on HMRC but I usually only ever got a response when I chased them.
Most of the work was undertaken by a para legal but charged at senior partner rates- £210 an hour + VAT. Phone calls and emails asking them about continued delays are charged for. The senior partner does not use email so you have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for a dictated letter from him

I have never known such an unprofessional firm. I have been waiting over 8 years for them to complete the probate of my relatives will and still no idea of when it may be resolved. Their communication is atrocious and when they do finally respond they blame HRMC or their accountants for the delay. They never provide enough information and thus I am constantly in the dark about what's going on. At this point I am seriously considering reporting them
